Event recap: everything we learned from Apple’s WWDC 2015 keynote

Well, that’s all folks. Apple's WWDC 2015 keynote has come and gone. We now have a good idea of what the future looks like for the company's Mac OS, iOS and watchOS platforms, as well as what its plans are for the streaming music space.

A lot has happened in the last 12 hours, and we understand that it might have been difficult to keep track of everything. So as usual, we’ve put together this awesome roundup for you, of everything important that happened at today’s event.

The jailbreak tweaks of the week

Like every Sunday, we roundup all the tweaks that were released on Cydia during the week that just ended, making it an easy and convenient way for you to see what's new, without having to scroll through dozens of font packages you'll never use.

Everything you can expect to see at WWDC 2015

As it does every year around this time, Apple is getting ready to host its Worldwide Developers Conference. The popular conference will take place between June 8 and June 12, and will give developers a glimpse at the future of iOS and OS X.

To kick off the event, Apple will give a keynote address on the 8th, where it will make all of its most significant announcements. As usual, it's been fairly quiet about its plans, but there are several things we're expecting to see come Monday.

A plethora of jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

The last time I saw that many tweaks released during a single week probably was months ago. It's fair to say things have been pretty quiet on the jailbreak side for a while, so it's definitely refreshing to see such a busy week.

None of these tweaks will change your life, but they will certainly make your iOS experience that much enjoyable. After all, isn't that one of the reasons we jailbreak in the first place?

Tweaks of the week: ADKeys, Alternatum, and more

According to the rumors, iOS 9 will be a heavy blow to the jailbreak community, but as Jeff cleverly noted, there's no such thing as impossible. With that said, we're hoping the grim rumor won't discourage smart developers from coming up with new tweaks.

Speaking of new tweaks, this week was pretty slow, but it saw the release of a few interesting ideas.

25 amazing apps and games are currently on sale for $0.99

Apple this week launched a new promotion in the App Store called 'Amazing Apps & Games for $0.99.' The curated section highlights 12 great apps and 13 popular games, which normally run between $2 and $6, that are currently on sale for less than a buck.

Among the offerings are the endless snowboarder Alto's Revenge, and premium creative apps like Procreate Pocket and Enlight. Many of these have already been mentioned in our App Recap, but we thought the deals were worth compiling into a single post.

It was a good week for jailbreak tweaks

As I'm preparing this list, I can't help but think it's been a pretty good week for jailbreak tweaks. None of them qualify as groundbreaking or life-changing, but many of them do add these small modifications that make jailbreaking so appealing to me.

And as I am entering my fourth week without a jailbreak on my main device, I have come to really miss these little gems that are very subtle, yet incredibly useful for day to day usage.

153 animated emojis you can find on Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is changing the way a lot of people communicate with each other, thanks to features like Digital Touch. It even handles emojis a bit differently, allowing you to choose from a wide variety of animated images to help you get your point across quickly.

In fact, as German site Giga Apple points out, there are 153 different animated emojis you can choose from on Apple Watch, ranging from yellow and red faces to hearts and hand gestures. They can all be accessed via Messages, and can be customized to fit any context.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Andrios, AppRun, NotiAction, and more

Like every Sunday, we bring you a roundup of all the tweaks that were released on Cydia during the week that just passed, so you don't have to scroll through dozens of font packages to find the one tweak that's worth your time.

A couple interesting tweaks were released this week, my favorite being Andrios. A very well made tweak, if you ask me. But that's not the only one. We have about a dozen of them here on this list.

iTunes has a number of great hip-hop albums on sale right now

If you're a fan of rap music, or just like to listen to a little bit of everything, you'll want to check out these deals Apple is offering in iTunes right now. For a limited time, more than 200 hip-hop albums are on sale for $5.99.

The albums come from a wide variety of artists, ranging from newer faces like Kendrick Lamar, to old school legends like Big Daddy Kane. There's even some from mainstream heavyweights like Eminem, Jay-Z and Ludacris.

Tweaks of the week: Aspectus, Echo, PullBulletin, and more

Recently, we've been busy dreaming up the possible jailbreak tweaks for Apple Watch and discussing the topic on Let's Talk Jailbreak, and to be honest, we kind of lost sight of the tweaks for iOS lately. Hopefully we can rectify this as the Apple Watch hype goes down. In the meantime, we listed all the tweaks that were released on Cydia this past week. There aren't many of them, but we do have a couple interesting ones.
