Famous iOS hacker pod2g, the brains behind a ton of jailbreak releases, including the untethered Absinth 2.0 for iOS 5.1.1, is releasing podDJ tomorrow, his very first App Store submission. Akin to Algoriddim's dj apps, podDJ is basically a DJing software that lets you mix and scratch music tracks from the iTunes library on your iPad tablet.

It has a gorgeous user interface and pod2g claims it will be the snappiest iOS DJing app, thanks to a sound output latency of just five milliseconds, OpenGL refresh rate of 60Hz and literally zero latency cue points and zero latency key locks, resulting in unique touch to sound reactivity...

Google releases a brand new iPhone application, Coordinate

Google has just release a brand new application for the iPhone on the App Store. Dubbed Coordinate, it's a workforce management tool aimed at business users that the company says will improve the efficiency of your mobile teams. The Mountain View, California-headquartered search Goliath explains that by getting real-time visibility into where teams are and what jobs they are doing, "work can be allocated in a smarter, more efficient way" using the mobile Coordinate app. The software is targeted at businesses so it doesn't work with consumer Google accounts...

You'll wanna act on this one right now coz Apple's gonna pull it sooner than later. The innocently titled FlashArmyKnife combines seven little utilities into one iPhone app: flashlight with adjustable brightness, built-in web browser with bookmarks, fully functional trigonometry calculator, satellite view map, currency converter, compass and battery indicator. As useful as these are, you'll want FlashArmyKnife for its hidden tethering feature.

We're not really sure how it managed to escape the attention of Apple's eagle-eyed censors, but you can bet Apple's gonna nuke the program out of orbit the instant they find out about tethering. So, if you've been looking to share your brand spanking new iPhone 5's Internet connection with other devices without purchasing a tethering plan from your carrier, this app gets the job done and without requiring a jailbreak, too...

Good news Xbox users, there's finally a way for you to pad your Live stats from your iPhone or iPad. Microsoft has just released its popular Wordament word game, which has been on Windows Phone for a while now, for iOS, and it has full Xbox Live integration with friends lists and achievements.

Redbox Instant, Verizon’s Netflix-killer, launches as private beta on iOS and Android

Redbox Instant is a joint venture between Verizon Communications and Redbox, a subsidiary of Coinstar that specializes in the rental of DVDs, Blu-ray discs and video games via automated retail kiosks. Today, they started gradually rolling out their service, accompanied by the iOS and Android client which lets you stream unlimited movies from their catalogue for eight bucks per month.

There's a free trial available, too, and you also get four DVD credits to boot from. The partners do not specify how many Hollywood movies are available for streaming. What we do know is that titles from Warner Bros and EPIX are included and that Redbox Instant won't stream television shows, at least not initially. Something tells me that Netflix should be worried. Isn't competition good for all?
