Sometimes when force-quitting apps from your App Switcher, you end up closing an app that’s playing media in the background by accident. This forces you to re-open the app and re-play the song you were just listening to from the beginning... all over again.

If you do this quite often, then you probably have App Switcher OCD and are clearing your App Switcher more often than you need to, but that’s beside the point; a new free jailbreak tweak called NoClose by Skylerk99 can help prevent you from accidentally force-quitting apps that are playing media in the background by prompting you beforehand.

When you’re in the middle of listening to media via Apple’s Music app and you end up having to force-quit the app or respring your device for any reason, you’ll notice that the app never remembers your place in the song when you get the Music app up and running again.

A new free jailbreak tweak called MusicMark by iOS developer Tony Kraft fixes this by forcing the Music app to remember your place in a song whenever you respring or force-quit the Music app, effectively allowing you to resume where you left off.

It feels like the Photos app continues to become more cluttered with features that everyday users really don’t even use in every major iteration of iOS. Apple sends invites for June 13 WWDC keynote

Apple on Wednesday sent out press invitations for a keynote at its Worldwide Developers Conference, as first reported by Tech Insider. The keynote presentation is scheduled for the first day of WWDC 2016, Monday, June 13, at 10am.

The annual event is where Apple previews its platform advances so we fully expect them to show the world what they have in store for iOS 10 and OS X 10.12, in addition to tvOS and watchOS 3 updates.

FireCore updated its versatile media player Infuse 3 for iPhone and iPad today, bringing the app to version 3.5. The update brings about a number of improvements, including faster SMB browsing and a fix for those having AirPlay issues.

Additionally, 3.5 adds support for passcode and Touch ID locking, meaning you can now secure the app using one of these options. This way, videos and other media files you'd like to keep private can only be accessed via proper authentication.

The Sun Valley tech and media conference is kicking off today. Apple's CEO Tim Cook arrived to Idaho-based Sun Valley Resort earlier today and was unexpectedly accompanied by Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue.

More than 300 executives from technology and media companies are slated to attend the annual conference, which runs through Friday and is hosted and wholly independently funded by private investment firm Allen & Company.

Cook was in attendance of last year's retreat, but this time around he's brought Cue with him, perhaps to kick the show up one more notch and cut lucrative new content deals...

Starting today, the Idaho-based Sun Valley Resort will play host to more than 300 executives from both technology and media companies for the annual Sun Valley conference hosted by Allen & Company, a premier investment bank for the media and entertainment sector.

The high-profile guests—which on the media side includes Disney's Bob Iger and CBS' Les Moonves, and on the tech side includes Mark Zuckerburg and Tim Cook—will attend lectures, group dinners and barbecues. And close attention will be paid to who hangs out with who...

Apple's boss today made a surprise appearance at the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference, an annual retreat, to attend a session called “Iran vs. Israel”, The New York Post reported. No one knew if he would put in an appearance and upon arriving he kept a low-key profile.

Apparently, Cook has lined up a bunch of powerful media executives for one-on-one meetings, looking to cut deals. After all, Apple is a media company (a powerful one, too) and it's been long-rumored that Cupertino's been persuading Hollywood moguls to provide premium programming for the mythical iTV...
