DockPhone is a new app that lets you dial and call any number directly from your Mac. Based on FaceTime's capabilities, and taking advantage of the new Continuity feature found on OS X Yosemite, DockPhone lets you make calls via your iPhone cellular connection right from the Mac, effectively adding a simple feature that users would have expected Apple to ship with Yosemite in the first place.

Nest Notification Center widget Thermos gets a warm update
A couple weeks ago, I told you about Thermos, a widget for Notification Center on Mac that lets you adjust the temperature of your Nest thermostat. At the time, I was quite impressed with the widget, despite the fact that I felt it was a bit limited and contained a minor bug. This is now a thing of the past as Thermos was just updated with new features, and a fix for the pesky bug.
Algoriddim launches djay Pro for Mac with 4-deck support, Spotify integration and more
German developer Algoriddim on Thursday completed its suite of apps for DJs by releasing djay Pro for Mac. Building on djay 2 for the iPhone and iPad, the Pro edition brings 4-deck support and the full power of Algoriddim's low-latency mixing engine.
The app has some rather advanced features such as Spotify and iTunes integration, support for professional DJ hardware, high-definition waveforms, audio effects, meta data and FX purchases from iOS versions of djay and much more.

With new Password Changer feature, Dashlane can change all your passwords at once
Password manager Dashlane introduced today Password Changer, a new feature that allows you to change all your passwords at once, including accounts secured by two-factor authentication. Powered by Dashlane's recent acquisition of startup PassOmatic came up with the core technology, the feature, that is just entering beta, currently works with about 70 different websites, including Apple, Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, but will open up to more sites in the future.
Legendary Grim Fandango adventure has been remastered, coming to Mac in January
Grim Fandango, the legendary neo-noir adventure game that LucasArts released back in 1998 for Windows, with Tim Schafer as the game's project leader, is getting a thorough makeover soon. This classic dark comedy style game made history as the first LucasArts' adventure to use 3D computer graphics overlaid on pre-rendered backgrounds.
According to DoubleFine Productions, Tim Schaffer's publishing company established in July 2000 after his departure from LucasArts, the game will be launching next year on January 27 across the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac and Linux.
Featuring revamped graphics optimized for today's high-resolution screens, Grim Fandango Remastered sticks to the original vision. The game takes place in an afterworld called the Land of the Dead, through which recently departed souls must travel before they reach their final destination, the Ninth Underworld.

In the category of the top paid iPhone app, Heads Up! came in first. Facebook's Messenger is Apple's top free iPhone app and Clash of Clans emerged as the top grossing iPhone app, respectively. On the iPad side, Minecraft, YouTube and Clash of Clans have been rated as the App Store's top paid, free and grossing apps, respectively.

Thermos lets you set your Nest thermostat temperature from OS X Notification Center
Thermos is a recently released Mac application that works hand in hand with Nest to allow you to set the temperature of your thermostat right from Notification Center. Additionally, and if you also have Nest Protect smoke detectors in your home, the app will be able to send you push notifications in case smoke or carbon monoxide has been detected by the devices.
