And as part of its Cyber Monday deal, T-Mobile is also discounting other iPhone models, including the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.

TaiG releases jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1

TaiG released a jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 devices this morning, roughly two weeks after Apple closed the latest Pangu jailbreak by releasing iOS 8.1.1. For those unfamiliar with the TaiG team, they were behind the third-party Chinese app store-evad3rs controversy last fall.

It's surprising that the team chose to release at this time, given that the previous jailbreak has only be defunct for a few weeks, and Apple is in the middle of testing iOS 8.2. But long-time jailbreak community patriarch MuscleNerd speculates that it likely had something to do with money.

Apple’s Black Friday kicks off with iTunes Gift Card deals on qualifying purchases

Apple this morning kicked off its Black Friday sale with $25-$100 (PRODUCT)RED iTunes Gift Cards on qualifying Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV and Beats by Dr. Dre purchases. Readdle’s Black Friday promo slashes up to 50% off popular productivity apps

Readdle, the Ukrainian developer behind some of the best iOS productivity apps such as Calendars, PDF Expert and Scanner Pro, doesn't do sales often.

But when they do, there must be a very good reason and I can't think of a better reason than Black Friday.

Starting on Thursday, November 27 and lasting 48 hours only, Readdle's premium productivity applications are available discounted by up to 50 percent. In addition to discounts on Calendars 5, Scanner Pro, PDF Expert 5, Printer Pro and PDF Converter, their Ultimate Productivity Bundle has been marked down, too.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath hits iOS

Oddworld, the popular platform-based action adventure originally released on consoles back in 2005, has been ported to iOS and is now available in the App Store as Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.

The game puts you in the shoes of a tall, dark and enigmatic figure, a drifter turned bounty hunter simply named Stranger. Your goal: capture outlaws and collect bounties, armed with your trusty double-barreled crossbow that fires insects and small animals.

The iOS port sports a highly detailed graphics engine capable of rendering towns, realistic water effects, lush forests, massive industrial facilities and vast outdoor panoramas in console-grade fidelity.

Apple posts new ‘Voice Text’ iPhone 6 ad

Apple tonight posted a new commercial to its YouTube channel showcasing the recently-launched iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The ad is entitled ‘Voice Text’ and it highlights the new voice messaging feature found on iOS 8 and of course the new iPhones.

Coming just a few days after the last two spots, the ad once again stars Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake. In similar fashion to recent ads, the pair provide comedic voiceovers as they demonstrate the benefits of voice messaging.

WatchBoard: a new Apple Watch SpringBoard replacement for iPhone and iPad

Aaron Ash, the creator of the legendary jailbreak tweak called Barrel, is back with a brand new creation called WatchBoard. WatchBoard is based off of the Apple Watch UI, and it's the best implementation of said concept that I've seen thus far.

Ash's expertise in this area is immediately apparent when it comes to design decisions, settings, etc. Not only that, but the tweak works on both the iPhone and the iPad. Have a look at our video walkthrough of WatchBoard after the break to see what makes it so good.
