Man suing Apple over “misleading” Siri advertisements

Apple's Siri, featured exclusively on the iPhone 4S, has captured the attention of many over the last few months. Some customers viewed it as a pretty cool addition to iOS, while some have said Siri is pretty pointless. The majority of us were expecting it to be included on the third-generation iPad 3, but that's not the case.

A New York man named Frank M. Fazio isn't happy with Siri. He says that Apple has been "misleading" with its features set and has filed a class-action lawsuit, reports the WSJ...

Analyst expects Apple to sell one million iPads on Friday

Apple's new iPad has already sold out online, after being available for pre-order since March 7th. The new tablet out of Cupertino delivers on Friday, March 16th and will also be available in-stores. With its great specs, Apple has already said demand for the new iPad is "off the charts".

People are getting so excited, that analyst Gene Munster says Apple will sell a wholesome one million iPads on Friday...

Popular game Draw Something already downloaded 20 million times

There always seems to be one game that really stands out on the App Store, like Angry Birds or Stick Wars. However, the game that's all the rage these days is five week old Draw Something. The game has seen phenomenal growth, and it seems like everyone is playing it these days.

The developers behind the app, OMGPop, have released the latest numbers for Draw Something. The game has already been downloaded 20 million times and is generating a whopping six-figures a day in revenue...

If you live in a part of the world which required a change to the clocks this weekend, then it may be worth checking all is well with your iOS devices because, according to isolated reports, some are once again struggling to behave as expected during the switchover.

We've been here plenty of times before, so we really shouldn't be surprised. Even so, Apple's inability to make something so simple work reliably is something we just can't help but marvel at.

They can cram more pixels into a 10-inch tablet than we care to count, but ask Apple to make a phone do something that computers have been doing for years and it apparently gets stumped...

Like any new product Apple releases, the new iPad has been seeing a tremendous amount of pre-orders. We already noted that the new iPad has already sold out across all stores, and the third-generation Apple TV's shipping time has been pushed back 2 weeks.

While it's true that users can switch between Google, Bing and Yahoo when deciding which search engine to use in Safari on iOS, it's debatable as to whether anyone does actually change it. We're going to put our money on the percentage being on the low side!

That's why being the default search option on iOS is so important. If you're the one chosen out of the box, then the chances are you'll be the one that gets the vast majority of hits from users. Right now, that default choice is Google, and they pay handsomely for the privilege according to Macquarie analyst Ben Schachter.

When Apple removed the "Enable 3G" switch in iOS 5, the decision was universally met with confusion, even anger by those of us that used it to save battery life in areas where 3G was flaky. By removing the option to disable it, Apple caused us all a headache we could do without.

Now, with iOS 5.1, Apple has reinstated the option quietly, once again giving us iPhone owners a little control over the speed at which our handsets connect to the internet. It may not seem like much, but this little switch is a big deal to many.

It's perhaps fitting that Apple has brought a power saving feature back in a release of iOS which is meant to increase battery life in the power-hungry iPhone 4S, too...

If your iOS device (or devices) is jailbroken, we hope you heeded our warnings not to update to iOS 5.1. As expected, the latest software update for Apple's mobile OS breaks both the Corona untether and the Absinthe exploit in one fell swoop.

Even though Apple released iOS 5.1 on Wednesday, alongside the announcement of its new iPad, it continued to sign 5.0.1 firmware over the last 48 hours or so. Well, now it looks like that window has closed...

1080p videos actually don’t use that much storage on Apple TV

Yesterday, Apple announced its updated third-generation Apple TV, at a media event in California. The highlighted feature of the new Apple TV, along with its updated UI, is the ability to play 1080p videos. Netflix announced hours later that it will support 1080p streaming to Apple's new device.

But the question comes: is 1080p video really worth it -- over 720p?
