Adam Demasi takes over as the lead maintainer of the Zebra package manager

Today’s jailbreak tools tend to install one of two different package manager apps: Cydia or Sileo. But those are far from the only package manager apps in existence today. Popular alternatives to Cydia and Sileo that can be installed by the end user include both Installer and Zebra.

We’re no stranger to either of the aforementioned package manager apps here at iDownloadBlog, but it’s worth noting that Zebra is now under new management as iOS developer Adam Demasi (@hkirb) has officially taken over this month as the project’s lead maintainer. Those shoes were previously filled by Wilson Styres (@willywurr).

YTReExplore replaces the YouTube app’s Shorts tab with the Explore tab

In some of the more recent versions of the official YouTube app, it seems that the app developers have replaced the Explore tab with the newer Shorts tab in an effort to push YouTube’s new Shorts feature on more users.

I for one don’t find YouTube Shorts to be all that interesting. In fact, I really only use YouTube for full-length videos.

Odyssey Team says mitigations for recently-discovered data loss & forced update issues coming soon

It was only a few days ago that the Odyssey Team acknowledged the discovery of a serious bug on iOS 14 that could cause data loss and/or forced iOS updates.

As such, the Odyssey Team recommended that users of newer versions of the Taurine jailbreak revert to Taurine version 1.0.4, as both versions 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 appeared to exacerbate this issue one way or another.
