The Simpsons: Tapped Out back in App Store

You can almost hear Homer saying "Woohoo!" as The Simpsons: Tapped Out lands back in the App Store after its 6 month hiatus. As you may recall, EA released the game back in March of this year, but it was quickly pulled.

The reason behind the removal was to reduce the strain on EA's servers —  they simply couldn't handle the traffic. But apparently all of the bugs have been worked out, as the game is once again available for download...

Showyou: millions of web videos in one place

You probably already know this, but there's tons of good videos on the web. Funny videos, informative videos, sappy videos, viral videos — they're everywhere.

But that's the problem, they're everywhere. You have to hunt them down one by one, site by site to find them. Unless, of course, you have the Showyou app...

SwipeType brings jailbreak tweak-like functionality to the App Store

SwipeType is a new note-taking application that offers up a slew of keyboard shortcuts that enable you to transcribe quicker. Functions like cut, copy, and paste, are all just a swipe away.

If this sounds familiar, that's because it is — it's extremely similar to the jailbreak tweak KBShortcuts. Except, unlike KBShortcuts, SwipeType is actually an app in the App Store...

Angry Birds Seasons update brings new bird, 20 new levels

It's that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, preseason football has commenced, and children are starting, or will soon be starting, school again.

You'd have to be living on a deserted island with no connection to the outside world to not have heard of Pinterest by now. The pinboard-style social photo sharing service has taken the web by storm over the past 12 months.

And there's good news this morning for folks who frequent the social network: the Pinterest app has finally landed on the iPad (and Android). This means you can now re-pin all of those silly cat photos from the comfort of your tablet...

Create disposable phone numbers for your iPhone with Burner

This is pretty interesting. Burner is a new service that provides you with disposable phone numbers for your iPhone. It's like having a fake phone number that you can give out, except you can actually be reached at it.

Think about all of the situations in which you are asked to give out your phone number but don't really want to — whether it be to an acquaintance, or a salesmen, or signing up for a new online service. Enter Burner...

DownloadMove: Adjust the position of the download progress bar

DownloadMove is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to adjust the position of the download bar that appears when downloading apps from the App Store.

There are several positions included with DownloadMove; they include: Middle, Top, Bottom, Up, and Down. Sure, it's not the most impressive tweak from a functionality standpoint, but DownloadMove is a decent choice for those looking for this sort of change.

How to Use Snapseed to Create Extraordinary iPhone Photography

Welcome back to iDownloadBlog.com's series in iPhoneography. So far we have covered everything from exposure to composition. One thing we haven't addressed are the apps. This has been by design. I wanted to make sure we had a solid foundation in photography before we started exploring the the digital darkroom.

Later in the series we will continue to expand our foundations in photography, but today we jump into the darkroom, and there's no better darkroom than Snapseed. I'm guessing many of you have already begun to explore Snapseed. If not, watch this video for a quick tour...

News aggregator Digg gets a makeover, new iPhone app

If you've been around the web for more than a couple of years, chances are you remember Digg. The news aggregation site made social sharing cool long before Facebook or Twitter hit their high notes.

But the last couple of years have been rough for Digg. After seeing a dramatic drop in page views, the site that was once in talks with Google over a $200 million buyout, sold for a measly $500 thousand to the folks at Betaworks.

Enter Digg v1...
