Bioshock now available in the App Store for $14.99

Heads up gamers, a major new title has landed on iOS this evening. The official mobile port of 2K Game's Bioshock—thought by some to be one of the best first person shooters of all time—is now available in the App Store, for both the iPhone and iPad, for $15.

For those unfamiliar with the game, it's set in an underwater Utopia in the midst of a civil war. You play as Jack, a cast-away from an airplane crash who finds himself trapped in this mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters.

The Walking Dead Pinball hits Mac and iOS

Telltale Games, the creator of the episodic Walking Dead game (itself based on the “The Walking Dead” comic book series by the Eisner Award-winning creator Robert Kirkman), has partnered with Skybound Entertainment and Zen Studios on a Walking Dead-themed pinball game for the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac.

The game is available now as a standalone download in the App Store for $1.99.

The Walking Dead Pinball offers a table based on the most iconic locations from the Game of the Year-winning series, including the St. John’s Dairy Farm, Travelier Motel, Bell Tower and Train & Level Crossing.

3D versions of the zombies and famous characters such as Lee and Clementine, along with the original lines and voice acting, round up this nicely done pinball game.

The Journey Down: Chapter Two finally makes it to the App Store

In 2012, SkyGoblin launched the first part of an incredible new episodic adventure game that swept iOS users off their feet. The hand painted graphics in The Journey Down: Chapter One are artistic and perfectly suited for the mobile gaming environment. The story is interesting and the characters are funny. The game is great, but is only the first in what is supposed to be a four-chapter story.

Today, The Journey Down: Chapter Two has finally landed in the App Store. For fans of the original, you’ll be happy to know this is just as fun as the first. For those who have never heard of the game, you can download the first chapter for free to celebrate the launch of chapter two.

CiRCA6 is a minimalist game about reflexes, strategy and circles

Sometimes, the best games are the simplest ones. I don’t necessarily mean minimalistic, either. Games that only have one or two goals or only one control mechanism are great for distracting you while not requiring too much of your attention.

CiRCA6 is a simple arcade game where players move a dot around on the screen, destroying other dots. There isn’t much to it, but it has just enough of a challenge to keep you coming back for more.

Infinity Blade series ending on September 4 with final ‘Kingdom Come’ update

The iOS-exclusive Infinity Blade series will conclude on September 4, the video game production company ChAIR Entertainment, the brains behind the game, confirmed in a blog post.

The elegiac masterpiece and one of my favorite games on the iOS platform is set to come to its inevitable conclusion in the final content update, dubbed 'Kingdom Come.'

Free to all Infinity Blade III players, 'Kingdom Come' will reveal some new secrets, answer more questions and “set you on a quest to defeat one very pissed off dragon,” as ChAIR put it.

Asphalt 8 updated with new tracks in Dubai, Twitch improvements and more

French games maker Gameloft today issued a nice update to its popular arcade racing game, Asphalt 8: Airborne, available as a free-to-play download for the iPhone and iPad in the App Store.

The update invites you to "discover the treasures of the Middle East" and "tear up the asphalt" with the brand new Dubai location, five new cars, a brand new season and gameplay streaming via the Twitch platform (now owned by Amazon) on previous-generation devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and fourth-generation iPad.

Minimalistic puzzle game Bicolor goes temporarily free via Apple Store app

Concluding its four-week promotion celebrating the life of a college student, the beautiful minimalistic puzzle game Bicolor has gone free for a week inside Apple's official Apple Store client for the iPhone and iPad (not to be confused with the App Store).

Created by 1Button and released on May 1, Bicolor includes 180 handmade levels, each consisting of just two colors. Bicolor tasks you with completing various patterns in order to clear the board and progress to the next level.

Priced at 99 cents in the App Store, Bicolor is free for the next seven days exclusively through the Apple Store app.

Bik – A Space Adventure is a fun point-and-click game for iOS

Director Steven Spielberg made such magical sci-fi movies as “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “E.T. The Extraterrestrial,” and “War of the Worlds.” Thanks to films like these, I am always looking to the stars, wondering whether there really is something out there.

Bik – A Space Adventure has the perfect plot for a Spielberg movie. Boy goes camping. Boy gets abducted by aliens. Boy saves the world. Help Bik survive with the aid of his new alien buddy Ammut.

‘Madden NFL Mobile’ is now available in the App Store

Just in time for NFL season, EA Sports has released a mobile version of its latest Madden NFL game, aptly-named 'Madden NFL Mobile.' The release coincides with the game's highly-anticipated console release, which began hitting store shelves early this morning.

The good news is, it appears that EA has really improved graphics and animations over last year's mobile Madden title. The bad news, however, is that not much else has changed. The game still requires an Internet connection, and it's littered with in-app purchases.

Amazon has acquired Twitch for $970 million

Amazon has acquired Twitch, the world's leading video platform and community for gamers, both companies announced in a statement after the market close on Monday. Google's YouTube was thought to have originally been the winning bidder, but that has changed after Amazon stepped in to close the deal.

DotEmu discounts ‘Double Dragon Trilogy’ and other titles to $0.99 in summer sale

Great news this afternoon for retro gaming fans. DotEmu has discounted 'Double Dragon Trilogy,' and several other hit iOS titles from its library down to $0.99. That's good for a savings of up to 80%, and all of the games support iPhone and iPad.

There appears to be a total of 7 DotEmu games on sale at the $1 mark, covering a wide range of genres. Double Dragon is perhaps the most recognizable, having seen dozens of releases, across several platforms, since 1987. We have the full list below.

Pako – Car Chase Simulator will give you a run for your money

Car chase scenes are some of my favorites in action flicks. You really don’t see enough of them anymore. My favorite is when buildings and vehicles randomly explode with little or no reason why.

Pako – Car Chase Simulator is another in the recent influx of simulation games. Players try to keep their car on the road while avoiding the cops that are closing in, random explosions included…
