Apple TV+ has certainly made a case for itself since its launch, especially with shows like The Morning Show, For All Mankind, Severance, and, of course, Ted Lasso. But in this day and age of "content," there can never be too much to watch. Which is why September is playing host to a whole bunch of brand new series premieres for Apple's video streaming service.
In September, Apple Arcade brings a trivia game narrated by Tom Hanks, a remix of an App Store racing game, a relaxing interactive puzzle and more.
T-Mobile, which bills itself as the "Un-carrier," offers up a lot of special perks for its customers. Especially those who pony up the cash for its most expensive (and popular) plan, Magenta MAX. That includes bundling streaming services into the mix, like Netflix for instance. And now it includes Apple's own video streaming service as well.
Apple TV+ has several different documentary series to choose from in its digital library. But, beginning September 9, it will have yet one more to add to the list. Earlier this year, on January 6, 2022, the Hollywood legend and activist Sidney Poitier passed away. On January 11, it was announced that Oprah Winfrey would be executive producing a brand new documentary focusing on the life and times of the icon. And now we finally have the first trailer.
Technology marches on, and, unfortunately, customers will always face the question of whether or not they should upgrade their devices. That decision might become a little easier when it's something like a streaming device, and, ultimately, support from third-party companies is vital to keep watching things. Which is why it might be sad to hear another popular streaming service is dropping support for older Apple TV models.
It's hard to imagine a company with an original video streaming service leaning so heavily into family-friendly content if it wasn't proving fruitful for that company. Apple TV+ keeps earnings rewards and accolades for shows like Severance and Ted Lasso, but it feels like when it comes to new premieres, the lion's share of attention is for family-friendly shows. Take, for example, the latest trailer for a new show heading to Apple TV+ in the near future called Life by Ella.
Apple One is the company's subscription service that's designed to save customers some money. To get there, the subscription offers several different subscriptions under one umbrella. And now Apple's showing it off in a new ad.
Amazon Prime Video for Apple TV is now avaialble with a refreshed interface, making the software look and behave more like other streaming services.
Apple isn't a stranger to financing original podcasts. The company already has a few out there in the wild, especially those geared towards supplementary content for Apple TV+ shows. But it turns out Apple is looking to boost investments, all the while still keeping an eye on building new TV series and films for its video streaming platform.
Reworked versions of four App Store classics, including Jetpack Joyride, are slated to launch on the Apple Arcade game subscription service throughout August 2022.
