Apple on Monday shared a new television commercial for iPhone 7 Plus through its official channel on YouTube. Titled “The City”, the video runs 71 seconds long and invites viewers to “focus on what you love” with the device's dual-lens camera system and Portrait shooting mode in the stock Camera app.
Italian developer Bloop today updated its excellent Mac email client Airmail with a bunch of new features, third-party integrations and other enhancements. Airmail 3.2.5 for macOS, a free update for existing users, introduces new integrations with the information management app DEVONThink and Bear, a beautiful writing app for notes and prose. Other new features include HTML user templates, out-of-office auto responders, enhanced privacy and more.
Apple's rumored smart home speaker with Siri, AirPlay and artificial intelligence (AI) features could be announced at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference, which kicks off with a keynote on June 5. Prolific leakster Benjamin Geskin today shared some new images on Twitter that appear to show CNC-milled manufacturing molds along with a technical diagram for Apple's upcoming iPhone 8. The images were obtained through SlashLeaks and, assuming genuine, probably taken by a factory worker. If anything, they serve as yet another indication that iPhone 8 will have vertically-stacked cameras and no Touch ID on the back.
iPhone manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, also known as Foxconn, is planning several investments in the United States, its Chairman Terry Gou said as he exited the White House on Friday.
Reuters cautioned that Foxconn has yet to finalize any plans, but it could be easily looking to build expensive factories in the U.S. and invest in other capital-intensive projects.
