Barnes & Noble, the largest book retailer in the United States, today announced a brand new app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices called Nook Video.
The software was designed to serve as a gateway drug to Barnes & Noble's Nook Video service which lets you purchase or rent thousands of movies and television shows in high definition, much like Amazon's, Apple's and Google's content stores.
The buying experience on the Nook Video Store is pretty frictionless and the app remembers your play point and sends it via the cloud to all your other devices, so you can pick up on another device right where you left off on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad...
The seventh and final beta of Apple's forthcoming iOS 7 mobile operating system could be seeded to developers later today, BGR reported Monday morning. The Jobs movie starring Ashton Kutcher as Apple's legendary co-founder Steve Jobs has opened with disappointing revenues and bombed at the box office this weekend. Specifically, the flick pulled in just shy of seven million dollars domestically, earning it the seventh place at the box office. This is one of Kutcher's lowest openings ever and hardly a success knowing the figure fell short of the $8-9 million distributor Open Road Films was hoping to rake in.
And as if mixed reviews weren't enough, the movie has failed to impress the trusted review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes which gave it a rating of just 25 percent...

AppSwiper is a brand new jailbreak tweak that allows you to kill running apps with a simple swipe gesture. The gesture, which is performed on app icons situated on the Home screen, invokes a pop-up window displaying the amount of RAM that the application is currently using.
Along with the RAM readout, you're greeted with two buttons — cancel, and kill. The cancel button takes you back to the Home screen without performing any actions, and the kill button stops the app from running.

Anemo is an upcoming tweak that brings a sleek looking Quick Reply feature to the stock Messages app. The tweak, which has been in its conceptual stages for quite some time, is a collaboration between iOS developer, John Corbett, and renowned iOS designer, Sentry.
