Minimalist clock screen savers for Mac

I like my desk to be clean, and as minimalistic as possible. This of course includes what's on my desk, but also what shows on my computer screen when I'm not actively using it. This is why for the past few months I have opted to use minimalist clock screen savers on my Mac.

Surprisingly, there aren't many options that meet my basic criteria of simplicity and minimalist beauty, but I did find a few that I'll share with you.

Apple keeps on surprising us with what seems to be some sort of subtle apology about the lack of upgrades in the Mac line up as of late. Cody and Sebastien talk about this specifically, as well as what the future looks like for the Mac Pro and the iMac Pro.

What’s AT&T Stream Saver and how to turn it off?

Stream Saver is a new feature from AT&T that allows users to save cellular data by automatically streaming higher definition videos at a standard definition (480p). This feature has now officially been rolled out to all AT&T customers that are on a voice + data plan.

While Stream Saver can be a great feature if you're on a limited data plan, it can also be overkill if you have a large data cap, or even an unlimited one. If you fall under that category and want to keep enjoying videos you stream in their full resolution, it may not be a bad idea to disable Stream Saver which has been turned on by default for all eligible AT&T customers.

Everything Apple announced today

Apple showed today that it doesn't need a special event to launch a bunch of different products. Without too much fanfare, the company launched a handful of new products and also updated, or rather upgraded a few ones in the process.

For those of you who didn't have time to read through it all, we've put together a short video rounding up everything Apple announced today.

Let’s Talk iOS 179: Not just a virtual or augmented reality

Surprisingly there is no talk about iPhone 8 rumors in this week's episode, but the guys make it up by talking about rumors of an imminent product refresh, which could be new iPad or maybe even a new Apple TV. Cody and Sebastien also discuss the latest rumors detailing Apple's AR efforts, their favorite new iPhone case, and they also answer questions from listeners.

This minimalist case turns your iPhone jet black (or jet white)

Besides a redesigned camera bump, one of the main differentiator between the iPhone 7 and its predecessor was the new jet black colorway. It’s beautiful and sexy, but as Apple was quick to point out, it’s also incredibly prone to micro abrasions.

The solution offered is to put it in a case, which clearly defeats the purpose of having a jet black iPhone to begin with. And that's where the folks at Totallee come in with the Scarf, their incredibly light and thin case, now available in jet black and jet white.
