MuscleNerd Confirms Untethered Jailbreak to Ship Before Christmas

Earlier this month, iPhone hacker Comex mentioned on Twitter that an untethered jailbreak would be available before Christmas. It's been over a week now and we hadn't had any status update until MuscleNerd confirmed the release of an untethered jailbreak to be released before Christmas.

Minutes after tweeting the above info, MuscleNerd deleted this tweet, which is nowhere to be found now. So why did he do this?

Awesome Etch A Sketch iPhone Case

We'd already seen the Etch A Sketch iPad case, and thanks to the beauty of licensing, we now have this awesome Etch A Sketch iPhone case. Looking at this case, I immediately go 25 years back in time, when I was just a kid who obviously didn't need much to entertain himself.

Time have changed a lot since then. I'm really glad my generation has been a witness of these changes. Oh listen to me becoming all sappy!

New Car Stereo Fully Integrates Your iPhone

Ever since the first iPhone came out in 2007, I thought it'd be a genius idea to create a car stereo that would completely integrate the iPhone to use it as a screen but also for controls. Fast forward 3 years later and it seems someone has finally heard my prayers.

The guys at Oxygen Audio just came up with the O Car, a fully integrated head unit specifically designed and made for iPhone. Its patented technologies enable the user to control all standard car stereo functions using the iPhone touch screen, while allowing horizontal and vertical access, so that all iPhone applications may be used in the car...

7 Original Metal Back Covers for iPhone 4

You might remember a couple months ago when we showed you this metal back cover for iPhone 4. It seems that another company was inspired by the concept and came up with 5 variations based on the same idea. My favorite of course is the one with the pwnapple logo on it.

These metal covers aren't cheap. But $24 a piece might just be the price to pay to get a unique device that will sure get you some attention...

iTunes 10.1.1 is Out

Apple just released an update to iTunes with version 10.1.1 which apparently fixes some issues with syncing and unexpected crashes. I personally never experienced this issue but I guess it was a problem for some of you.

iTunes 10.1.1 seems to be safe for jailbreakers and unlockers but it might be a wise thing to wait for an official confirmation from a Dev Team member. In the meanwhile, this is the changelog for iTunes 10.1.1...

Debunking the Verizon iPhone LTE Insane Rumors

Over the weekend, a website claiming that sources "we believe to be familiar with the matter" has made some pretty ballsy claims about the Verizon iPhone. Looking at the information shared by this website, it makes no doubt to me that they were just link baiting, you know, like making up stuff to get people to talk about them.

I didn't want to talk about it at first, but seeing how many people actually believe this, I had to raise my voice and tell what I really think about all this. Hint: this is all bs...

140,000 Emails from Steve Jobs Released by WikiLeaks

Steve Jobs is probably the only CEO of a major tech company to personally reply to emails every once in a while. Sometimes revealing future product updates or simply commenting on current affairs, Jobs is known for his short and precise emails that spread around the web in no time.

WikiLeaks, the very controversial website that has leaked hundreds of thousands of classified documents has recently leaked 140,000 emails from Steve Jobs, as unveiled by Scoopertino, which dug into the emails and found a few interesting tidbits for us...

New Tweak Adds a Spiral of Apps to Your iPhone

IconSpiral is a new tweak by the developer of Barrel. Just like the name suggests, IconSpiral creates a spiral our of your apps icons on your iPhone home screen. This tweak is still in its beta infancy, so don't expect to get something fully stable.

In order to get this tweak on your iPhone, you will first have to submit your UDID via this page. Make sure you read the warning and understand all the risks. Once you have submitted your UDID, add the following repo to Cydia: http://aaron.ms/repo/ ...

Mobile Cloth Review

The folks from Mobile Cloth contacted me last week saying they wanted to send their product for review. As usual, I replied telling them they could send me their product for review but there was absolutely no guarantee that I'd talk about it on iDB.

Besides, I wasn't really excited with the product they wanted to send me: a cleaning cloth. That was until I actually received the Mobile Cloth and tried it on with all my devices, the results were pretty astonishing...

I’m Getting a White iPhone 4 for Christmas

I'm getting a white iPhone 4 for Christmas. Not an actual white iPhone 4 because we all know they're not coming until at least next Spring, (I think there's never going to be a white iPhone 4 but that's another story).

No, I'm not getting a real white iPhone 4, but white iPhone 4 Christmas ornaments to decorate our Xmas tree...
