It's no secret that Apple's new ads are a bit prideful. The tone of the voice-overs is boastful and almost snarky. Apple has clearly succeeded with the iPhone, and now they're rubbing it in.

iOS 5 Will Transcribe Your Voicemail to Text

Following the news that Apple is partnering with Naunce for voice integration in iOS 5, we've heard from an inside source at Apple that iOS 5 will allow you to read your voicemails. Google Voice has offered voicemail transcription for quite some time, and, according to our anonymous source, Apple is hard at work to implement this type of service into iOS 5.

More cloud-based features are rumored to debut in Apple's next major release of iOS when the software is previewed at WWDC this June. A more Google-esque approach to cloud services makes sense if Apple wants to stay competitive in the cloud space. Voicemail transcription would be one more feature to beef up Apple's cloud offerings...

Microsoft Will Continue to Support Skype on iOS

You can rest easy. Microsoft's CEO, Steve Ballmer, has confirmed that the company will "continue to invest in Skype on non-Microsoft client platforms."

As we previously reported, Microsoft has acquired Skype to the tune of $8.5 billion. The technology juggernaut plans on implementing Skype's VoIP technology into its Windows Phone 7 platform, but the company also states that it will continue to support Skype on non-Windows platforms.

Among other prominent speakers, like Jay "saurik" Freeman himself, the MyGrestFest team has managed to snag famed hacker and Chronic Dev Team member, Joshua Hill (P0sixninja) as a speaker for the upcoming event. The jailbreak and unlock wizard, MusceNerd, has also been confirmed as the keynote speaker for MyGreatFest's event next year in the United States.
