PlayerFinder, BeforeSunset AI, LALAAL.AI, and other apps to check out this weekend

Congratulations people, we made it to another weekend! That means it’s time for another one of our Apps of the Weekend roundups. This week we have some awesome picks for you including a teammate finder for gamers, an AI-infused calendar, and a stem player. And as always, we’ve selected a fun new game for you to check out.

PlayerFinder: LFG, Chat & Play

Ok, here is an awesome idea if you’re a gamer, or have been wanting to get into gaming, but don’t have a regular group of people to play with. It’s called PlayerFinder, and surprise, it’s an app that helps connect you with other gamers to play with. Players are matched based on game, format, skill and other criteria. You simply tell the app how many are in your party, and how many you need to get going. All your favorite games are supported including Fortnite, Valorant, Apex, Call of Duty, and Rocket League. Now, if I could only figure out what LFG stands for.

BeforeSunset AI: Daily planner

BeforeSunset AI is a “big deal” kind of app. There is a ton of hype behind it, everyone is talking about it, I mean, it’s a BIG deal. I. just haven’t figured out why yet. It’s a calendar app, obviously, with some handy productivity and collaboration features, but I still feel like I’m missing something. You know when a big corporation uses the word “synergy” in its mission statement, and it’s really unclear what that means or what they even do? Yeah, that’s how I feel about this app. Big synergy energy. But to be fair, this thing does have a ton of features, and the team says a bunch more are on the way, including an AI assistant that will help you plan your vacations around important work events, and schedule your todo list tasks at optimal times. At the very least it’s good-looking and it’s free to download, so it’s certainly worth checking out.

LALAAL.AI: AI Vocal Remover

Putting its awful name and fake App Store award graphic in the screenshots aside, this is a very interesting app for aspiring musicians and creatives. It’s essentially a stem player, which is an audio mixing tool that enables you to isolate sounds on an audio track. This particular app claims its advanced AI algorithm can remove/isolate vocals and up to 8 musical instruments from any song or video. You upload the file, it works its magic, and then you can play a demo of the audio before you (pay to) download it. Fair warning, some of the reviews complain that it doesn’t work very well, and the developers say results can vary greatly depending on the track, but again you do get to hear a demo before paying anything. There are obviously other stem apps out there, but if you’re looking to try something different, this is at least an option.

One Punch Man World

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero manga series that tells the story of Saitama, a superhero that gets bored with life because he can defeat any opponent with…one punch. In the game you will explore an immersive world filled with popular characters, quests, and challenges, and you’ll get to engage in epic anime battles with different heroes and villains from across the franchise. There are also side quests, customizable combat styles and finishing moves, collectibles, and so much more. Look, I know nothing about this manga series, but apparently it is one of the most popular ever, and the game actually looks awesome. So if you’re looking to try something fun or new this weekend, definitely check it out.
