Apple Wallet BG add-on for the kfd exploit is a no-jailbreak Apple Pay card customizer

One of the neat things that you can do with the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2 and 16.0-16.6 beta 1 respectively is utilize add-ons that let you customize the designs of cards residing in your native Apple Wallet app.

We saw this just last week with an add-on called Cardinal, and this week, we’re excited to show you a different take on this experience in the form of a new add-on called Apple Wallet BG by iOS developer Hùng Anhh.

Once you install Apple Wallet BG, you will find a dedicated preference pane when using a Haptic Touch or 3D Touch gesture on the add-on in the Misaka app that looks a lot like the one shown above.

From there, you can use the image picker to select an image from your Photo Library that gets used to customize your primary payment card.

At this time, the project is advertised as supporting just one card’a personalization, however the preference pane of the add-on says that support for more than one card could come in a future update.

If you’re interested in giving the new Apple Wallet BG add-on a try, then you can acquire it from the Misaka package manager app.

Anyone who isn’t currently taking advantage of Misaka can learn more about how to install and use it in our full walkthrough post.
