Peaks, ProShots, Budget Hound, and other apps to check out this weekend

It’s the weekend again, meaning it’s time for another Apps of the Week roundup! This week we have some fabulous picks for you including an energy tracker, an AI app for getting pro-grade headshots, and a budget tracker. And as always, we’ve selected a fun game for you to check out.

Peaks: Energy Tracker, Routine

“Sync with your body’s natural rhythm and maximize your potential.” What in the Tony Robbins? I’m usually skeptical of people saying stuff like this — it usually means a scam is nearby — but this app is interesting and has a beautiful UI, so we’ll let it slide this time. Peaks takes data from your fitness tracker, analyzes it to find your unique rhythm, and then converts it into a personalized routine that they say can do things like improve sleep quality and help you maintain high energy levels throughout the day.

ProShots: Create AI Headshots

Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Sho-shots! Everybody! Sorry, I just had to. ProShots uses artificial intelligence to generate realistic headshots with the poses, attire, and background you choose. Whether you’re a business professional needing a new LinkedIn photo, or a model or actor hoping to get your big break, ProShots can help. You get high quality photos, which are easy to share, although it does look like you get charged to download. Meh, if the photos look good and it’s only a few bucks, it’s probably worth it.

Budget Hound: Expense tracker

I am an absolute sucker for budget trackers, and really all tracker apps in general. I don’t ever end up using them long term, but there is just something about a beautiful UI, a bunch of charts and graphs, and the idea of really getting organized that seems very romantic to me. Knowing that, and seeing the above screenshots, you can probably guess why I picked Budget Hound for this week’s roundup. It’s intuitive and easy to use, and most features are available without a subscription.

Who Let The Chickens Out?

Who? Who? Who? Who? Oh man two hit songs in one roundup, nice. Anyway, you would think a game called Who Let The Chickens Out would involve you rounding up a bunch of crazy chickens that got loose and putting them back in their pen with like a timer or something. Nope. You’re just shooting them. Seriously, with a sniper rifle. But hey if that sounds like fun to you, you’ll probably love this game. The chickens are cocky, and laugh when you miss them, and there are a ton of achievements and rewards to unlock.
