Dead Cells+ (December 2)


Dead Cells+ by MotionTwin and Playdigious is an Apple Arcade version of the original game which brings the complete experience without ads, tracking or in-app purchases. This roguevania action platformer mixes frantic 2D combat with a wide variety of weapons and skills that you’ll need to master to defeat enemies.

It sports exclusive Apple Arcade leaderboards, lets you use MFi controllers and provides two gameplay modes: Original and Auto-Hit. The game has been optimized for touch controls and you can adjust button position and size to your liking.

Dead Cells+ includes all of the downloadable content released so far at no extra charge like “The Queen and The Sea” which helps close a story arc with a new ending while introducing two new biomes and a final boss “who knows how to block your attacks.” Other paid downloads provided for free include the “Practice Makes Perfect”, “Everyone is Here!”, “The Bad Seed” and “Fatal Falls” content packs.

Dead Cells+ is available on iOS, iPadOS and tvOS [App Store link]. Different versions are available for the Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and Steam platforms.

JellyCar Worlds (December 9)

JellyCar Worlds by its original creator Walaber Entertainment LLC is an Apple Arcade version of an App Store classic with updated levels, multiple worlds, rich customization and other perks. Featuring tactile soft-body physics gameplay, JellyCar Worlds requires using various abilities to progress throughout the game, like the ability to grow things, use sticky tires and so forth.

Each world has its own theme and gameplay mechanics, but deep customization makes this a practically endlessly playable game. Not only can you create your own car designs from scratch but also record your own sound effects. If you remember JellyCar from your childhood, try out this modern Apple Arcade rendition.

JellyCar Worlds supports iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS [App Store link]. Versions for the Nintendo Switch and Steam are available, too.

My Little Pony: Mane Merge (December 16)

My Little Pony: Mane Merge is an original Apple Arcade title from mega-publisher Gameloft with mini-games, matching action, weekly challenges and more.

My Little Pony: Mane Merge includes more than 120 stickers available for collecting. Tasked with exploring and unlocking magical locations and rescuing ponies and critters alike, you’ll be merging and making items to complete every ponies’ wishes, which is required to restore the lands of Equestria to glory.

My Little Pony works on iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS [App Store link].

How to view a list of upcoming Apple Arcade games

To see a list of upcoming titles, hit the Arcade tab in the App Store and scroll down, then touch See All Games. On the next screen, click Filters to narrow the list by release date and switch on the Coming Soon option.
