Apple’s iCloud service is currently experiencing a widespread outage, with many users potentially impacted.
If today is one of those days where you’ve noticed that your iCloud-backed services aren’t performing up to snuff, there’s a reason. Apple has updated its official services status page to reflect a widespread outage across iCloud. At the time of publication, more than a dozen services are listed as being hit with an outage.
At the time of publication, Apple’s indicating that the outage began at 11:13 AM PT/2:13PM ET, and is still ongoing. Apple is investigating, but there is no telling when the outage might be fixed. The company does say that “some users are affected”, but that’s it.
Here’s the list of services experiencing the outage:
- iCloud Drive
- Find My
- iCloud Backup
- iCloud Bookmarks & Tabs
- iCloud Calendar
- iCloud Contacts
- iCloud Keychain
- iCloud Mail
- iCloud Notes
- iCloud Storage Upgrades
- iCloud.com
- iMessage
- iWork for iCloud
- Photos
So, that’s something to be aware of. But hey, at least iCloud Reminders is still working!
As soon as Apple fixes the problem, which will hopefully be soon, we will update this post accordingly.
