Our fifth episode of Let’s Talk Jailbreak is proof that time flies when you’re having fun. We have tons to talk about today, including an update on Sebastien’s broken car window, the possibility of an iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak, the top tweaks of the week, Apple’s use of widgets, and so much more. I think it’s safe to say that you don’t want to miss this episode.

Oh, and one more thing, please take a few seconds to rate our podcast in iTunes, it helps out immensely.

  • An April Fool’s joke? I would of been so mad! And widgets, ehh, if Apple implements them usefully, then maybe. But I don’t care how many Android users claim how amazing they are, if they are just cluttered randomly throughout the OS, that will make things look disgusting. I’m sure Apple knows what they’re doing now that Jon Ive is head of things, especially with his industrial/minimalistic approach. I won’t lie, I do like some aspects of skeuomorphism, but if we have to sacrifice it for the greater good of iOS 7, I am ALL for it.

  • Oh! Man! Jailbreak! lol

Like the new podcast thing, but..
    Get your facts straight?
The “Messages” tweak uses the default sms compose view (MFMessageComposeViewController) which is available for all iOS Apps (If implemented by the developer), A quick google search for it will reference you to the official documentation. And NOT the native sms app (MobileSMS.app).
+ the “Clock Builder” app and the “ClockBuilder 5 Theme” is created by two separate developers.. A quick google search will reveal that for you as well..
But still, love your Blog, and the effort put in to it, great work, Keep It Up! 🙂

    • Thanks for pointing it out

      • Daniel Im

Hey Jeff and Sebastian. Ya should check out this really awesome dreamboard theme. It’s a windows phone 7 theme by Endfinity called Strife.

      • Joe Bobbins

        You misspelled Sebastien’s name.

      • Daniel Im

Sebastien* sorry stupid autocorrection change it with an a

      • It’s ok, I won’t get offended 🙂

  • PathKiller29

Andrew Liu made a “swype” keyboard (the one you’re most likely referring to).

As for “Messages” it’s not the entire app opening, its a compose view (modified compose view?) Just like a mail compose sheet as seen in apps like Cydia or even that “compose” tweak for notification center.

  • tss center (below) to request ios shsh

save shsh 6.1.3?what is this in cydia shsh gone?

  • Love the show! I look forward to this podcast every week because you guys talk jailbreak exclusively.

    This podcast is Radical.

    • Radical duuuuude 🙂

      • I’ve heard a lot of people always complaining about battery usage. I’ve got an idea. A tweak that you can activate that turns off all other mobile substrate addons and has the user use their phone regularly. This would track their time on the device and off of it, giving the user access to data that tells them how their device battery is while in idle and in use and its usage on average. Then do the same over a day with all their tweaks on. Then compare each report and give the user charts to use. It would also contain data related to what tweaks are in use on average. So if a specific tweak causes serious battery life issues it will be know. Culprits more responsible will be in a red zone. Whereas better ones would be yellow and ones that only run when in view or rarely would be green.

Hope someone could pull this off. I’d kill for this. Just to see really what all the fuss is over battery life.

      • great idea

      • jo

Haha totally groovy bro, the podcast is so gnarly man! Swag! Yolo!

  • Jeff,do you use touchpal? and why do I have to download the appstore app,I tried it and it works installed from cydia.

  • 笑傲江湖

  • Shout out to me for getting 2nd place in the tournament bracket challenge!

    • Behind Sebastian! Lol

      • Really? You kidding?

HAHAHA so I totally filled this ESPN bracket randomly by picking names of teams that sounded good to me (I don’t know anything about college basketball), and apparently I came on top of the iDB group 🙂

      • Hahaha yeah it’s pretty funny that you got 1st place. I was surprised that many people filled out brackets. You should discuss it in your next Lets Talk Jailbreak podcast 🙂

  • Sssssssssssssuch a rebel.

  • christodouluke

This podcast is as boring as reading a transcript of this podcast. Especially frustrating is listening to you talk about tweaks you haven’t tried or don’t know much about (Messages), seriously, do (more?) research before talking publicly about something.

    • You can save 45 minutes a week by not listening to it then 🙂

  • Henley Garcia

Maybe you should guys should discuss what you guys think what iOS 7 will feature.

  • Eric Su

@Jeff and @seb481:disqus Do either of you use cases on your iPhones?

    • jo

They talked about that, i think it was the fifth podcast.
