Jukebox now available on Cydia

By , Jun 3, 2012

Jukebox — the Dashboard X and Notification Center compatible music widget — is now available for download on Cydia. As you no doubt saw in our walkthrough, Jukebox is an awesome music widget that can be used to directly manipulate your Music app from the convenience of your Home screen.

One of my complaints with Jukebox was that it currently only supports the stock Music app, but the good news is that support for 3rd party music apps like Pandora and Spotify is in the works. Check out our full coverage of the tweak, and be sure to head over to Cydia’s BigBoss repo where it can be had for $0.99.

The one and only widget I have on my iPhone (NC Settings) doesn’t display correctly 50% of the time.

Hmmm..? I wonder why. I’ve got it and weather. I did take out deck because there was overlap in the functionality of the two which seemed redundant. Have you tried removing and reinstalling dashboardx?

I haven’t tried that actually, but it is a good point, I’ll have a go at re-installing in a second.
To be honest, I just assumed that there was a conflict between it and one of the many other tweaks on my phone, but I’ve just lived with it so far.
I’ve also been experiencing a lot of crashes since upgrading to 5.1.1, more than on 5.0.1. Every so often, the phone will now also spontaneously reboot when crashing, instead of just re-springing.

Wouldn’t a Mulitasking widget be awesome? Random thought. Don’t judge me, lol.

no way, the other music widget made by @cjori is free, and it’s worked with every single third-party music app I’ve used

I really like that widget but I don’t like how the 3 buttons look. They look ugly. Thats why I would rather go with this one but no 3rd party support

You will find this widget in the ModMyi repo, not the BigBoss repo.

Please update Jukebox for iOS8, it was the ONE AND ONLY tweak that permitted music rating (stars) outside of the music app. I am baffled that no other developer — in all the music app tweaks for the NC and app switcher — has included the ability to rate music ‘on the fly’ outside of the music app. Please please please update Jukebox!
