T-Mobile Now Selling Micro SIM Cards for iPhone 4

Rumors are that Apple will come out with an iPhone capable of running on T-Mobile's 3G/4G network, and today T-Mobile took the first steps in the Apple/T-Mobile partnership. T-Mobile is now giving free Micro SIM cards to its customers.

This news comes after T-Mobile announced they have over one million unlocked iPhones on their network. It has been over a month since Apple started selling unlocked iPhone 4s in the US that work on T-Mobile's EDGE network.

AT&T iPhone Activations Match Last Quarter at 3.6 Million

In its second quarter financial results today, AT&T revealed it had activated 3.6 million iPhones during the three-month period ending in June. This figure is identical to that announced for AT&T's first financial quarter, however, it is an increase over the 3.2 million devices activated during the same quarter last year.

After falling over the last 12-18 months, the number of new customers activating iPhones seems to have stabilized. 24% of iPhone activations were for new customers, which is just slightly higher than the first quarter, and significantly lower than the 40% rate during the early days of the iPhone.

Free Cloud Sync Coming to Things for iPhone and iPad

The team at Cultured Code, makers of the popular task manager for iOS called "Things," has announced that cloud sync is finally coming to the Things for iPhone and iPad apps.

Things has been one of the premiere GTD (Getting Things Done) apps in the App Store for a long time, but one sorely missed feature has been wireless syncing between Things on the Mac, iPhone and iPad. Cultured Code has announced that invites to start beta testing cloud sync on iOS will be sent out starting August 22. Apple Launches App Store Volume Purchase Program for Businesses

Awhile back, we told you that Apple was preparing its App Store B2B volume purchase program in the US, and the service has officially gone live for businesses wishing to enroll.

This new program will allow businesses to purchase and distribute apps in bulk to employees. Pricing will also be volume-based, meaning that bulk App Store purchases will also become more affordable for enterprise customers.
