How to change the iPhone’s status bar color using RGB sliders

Jailbreaking is all about customizing your iPhone in a way that you see fit; from the biggest detail all the way down to the smallest detail. With that in mind, Status Color is a recently released tweak that's worth a look.

Status Color is a tweak that allows you to adjust the color of your status bar in real time using simple RGB sliders. The tweak, which is available for free on Cydia's BigBoss repo, allows you to easily match the color of the status bar with wallpaper or other Home screen elements. How to quickly move between the first and last page of your Home screen

SBPageSwipe is an interesting new tweak that was recently released on Cydia. It allows users to quickly scroll between the first and last SpringBoard page by swiping on the page dots that reside above the Home screen dock.

As you would imagine, this is a very simple and straightforward tweak with zero options to configure. Though it's simple in nature, I did find it pretty handy to have. It's almost like using the Home and End buttons on a desktop keyboard. Take a look inside.

I'm not sure how it happened, but somewhere amidst all of the excitement yesterday, we completely neglected to talk about the new Infinity Blade game. For those who missed it, Apple brought Chair's Donald Mustard up on stage during its iPhone event to introduce Infinity Blade III.

The move, of course, was to help Apple show off the power of the iPhone 5s' new A7 processor, but it was a big moment for Infinity Blade fans as well. After the 'Dungeons' title was canceled, the future of the franchise was uncertain. But Chair put all those concerns to rest yesterday...

Can't get enough of the new iPhones? Yeah, us either. So as you can imagine, we were excited to see that Apple has posted three new promotional videos for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on its YouTube channel this evening.

Apple video lays out iPhone 5s camera advances

Usually, Apple's S-upgrades are big on camera improvements and the just-released iPhone 5s doesn't disappoint in this regard. Although past S-upgrades increased pixel count on the back camera sensor - the iPhone 4S, for instance, introduced an eight-megapixel iSight camera, up from five megapixels on the iPhone 4 - the iPhone 5s's back shooter remains stuck at eight megapixels.

But photography isn't just about megapixels so Apple worked to improve low-light performance and the overal quality of your snaps, as well as enable new features like the super-slow motion video capture at 120 frames per second (stemming from the two-times faster 64-bit A7 chip).

Just like clockwork, Apple has now updated its website with new material related to today's announcements. The flagship iPhone 5s has received a substantial upgrade and with much of the attention surrounding its fingerprint scanning feature, the company has made a little video explaining how they integrated the sensitive fingerprint reader into the Home button while giving us an overview of how Touch ID works. Intertubes respond to Apple’s imminent keynote with parody videos

As we count the remaining minutes until Apple's iPhone 5S/5C keynote (85 minutes left and counting), the blogosphere has spent the last 48 hours putting together some downright amusing parody videos (not mentioning a few in really bad taste).

While hardly meant to downplay Apple's inevitable domination in headlines today, we're not complaining - such parodies have long become part of the Apple keynote folklore. Now, some watchers may be expecting a revolution.

Realistically - this morning is about two phones, both based on the existing iPhone 5 design: a mid-range model redesigned around a much cheaper and sturdier plastic enclosure and an S-upgrade with a faster chip, better camera and Touch ID sensor.

Car-maker Nissan unveils new Nismo smartwatch, and it’s actually pretty awesome

To say the smartwatch industry is on the verge of exploding would be an understatement. In addition to the Pebbles and the i'm watches, both Samsung and Sony just made major plays in the space. And rumor has it that Apple is also working on a wearable.

Yahoo’s new Screen iOS app is a remote control for web video

The struggling Internet giant - once synonymous for anything remotely dealing with online content - on Monday issued a brand new app called Yahoo Screen.

The company is billing the app as a remote control for web video of sorts. More appropriately, Yahoo Screen is your one-stop shop for both Yahoo's original and licensed video content.

You can instantly stream news, sports, food, and entertainment videos from MLB, UFC, The Onion, Martha Stewart and lots more, free of charge (no strings attached). But that's just scratching the surface as Yahoo's licensed video library includes such TV shows as Saturday Night Live, along with Yahoo Originals featuring Jack Black, Ed Helms, Zachary Levi, Cheryl Hines, Rachael Harris and more...
