I'm sure you know Angry Birds Star Wars is due on iOS, Android and a bunch of other platforms this coming Thursday. Rovio's been promoting the hell out of this game and today the Finnish developer posted the official video that reveals much more in terms of gameplay than half a dozen previously released clips. Angry Birds Star Wars better be darn good. Otherwise, I'm gonna be hating everything Star Wars till the grave. I've also included a nice Darth Vader & Han Solo video after the break...

Finnish developer Rovio's really been an adept exploiter of the space theme. Its latest Angry Birds installment, Angry Birds Space, has just been updated with ten volcanic levels on planet Mars and the special Mars Curiosity Rover boss level. This release also contains an antenna egg level (get three stars on all levels to unlock it) and a "super-secret bonus level" that will unlock upon discovering the hidden rover.

Additionally, the company released a new interesting video giving us a hint of gameplay in the upcoming Star Wars tie-in called Angry Birds Star Wars, due November 8. An earlier trailer featured Princess Leia. Don't also miss another gameplay video from Monday that dropped humorous hints of a romance in the making between Luke Skywalker and Leia.

And while we're at it, as part of NASA and Rovio once again joining forces with the Red Planet episode for Angry Birds Space, Rovio released three interesting NASA clips about planet Mars. Plus, we also get to see R2-D2 and C-3PO characters in an exclusive Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay video. Don't worry, we've included all of the aforementioned videos right below...

A new Star Wars-themed Angry Birds game, part of a broad merchandizing partnership with toy maker Hasbro, is due November 8. It's currently marketed under an SEO-optimized Angry Birds Star Wars moniker and we previously showed you the original teaser and a trailer featuring Princess Leia. Today, Finnish developer Rovio is out with another amusing video depicting romance in the making between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

It also lets us in on gameplay action and mechanics. Looks like birds-slinging remains the focus of the game. This upcoming puzzler will introduce a host of crazy and officially licensed Star Wars-themed characters, each with its own personality and skills. I love how one of the birds is waving Lightsabers to penetrate the thick walls...

Bad Piggies get 15 new levels in a ‘Flight in the Night’ episodic update

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeGUE__O3w4

Following up on yesterday's Angry Birds Seasons update which has brought out 30 new Halloween-themed levels, Finnish developer Rovio today pushed its first content update to Bad Piggies, its Angry Birds-style game from the piggs' perspective, launched a month ago. The new 'Flight in the Night' episode contains fifteen new levels, a brand new moonlit theme, a new sandbox mode to test your creativity, a new item and more...

Angry Birds maker Rovio has issued an update to its Angry Birds Seasons game, adding a Haunted Hogs episode which brings out thirty new Halloween-themed levels. As the piggies get all dressed up for Halloween, there's also a hilarious new Frankenswine character to get excited about. You'll be playing at the haunted house, with the ghostly Halloween music helping you get in the right mood. And watch out for those ghost bricks that behave differently from regular blocks - use them for fun trick shots...

New Angry Birds Star Wars trailer features Princess Leia

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOBFUksIU1k

Rovio's so far teased Angry Birds Star Wars twice (here and here). This brand new mashup resulting from a partnership with toy maker Hasbro could be a smash hit, if previous Angry Birds games are anything to go by. Today, the Finnish developer behind the franchise released a new trailer that features Princess Leia and the pig-ified Storm Trooper helmet, have a look.

I'm a big fan of both the Angry Birds series and Star Wars. It goes without saying that I cannot wait to see what Rovio's been up to with this one. The game arrives November 8 to iOS and Android, in addition to versions for Windows Phone, Kindle Fire, Mac and PCs running Windows 8. Say what you will, but Rovio sure knows how to milk the franchise, but not at the expense of gameplay creativity...

Bad Piggies cookbook app lands on the iPad

From the apps to the merchandising, Rovio appears to be making money hand over fist. Yesterday, the brains behind the popular Angry Birds physics puzzler series updated their original game with 30 new levels. But it looks something else has been cooking in Rovio's kitchen as today the Finnish developer launched at Frankfurt Book Fair a new app for the iPad.

It's called Bad Piggies’ Best Egg Recipes and you guessed right, it's an e-book, basically an interactive replica of the dead tree version ($9.99 on Amazon) Rovio published last year, which contains 41 egg recipes. We've got a teaser clip and a hands-on video for your right after the break...

Angry Birds get 30 stormy and pig-themed levels

"The Bad Piggies don’t just have a new game", Finnish developer Rovio writes in release notes for the freshly updated Angry Birds. "Now they’ve taken over Angry Birds with 15 of the piggest levels ever". Angry Birds, the game that started the whole birds vs. piggies craze, was updated on the iPhone and iPod touch with 30 new levels, 15 of which are pig-themed in an obvious mash up with Bad Piggies, Rovio's most recent game release that has turned the familiar flinging formula upside down...

Rovio’s Bad Piggies hit iOS, Mac and Android

As promised, Angry Birds maker Rovio today released a new physics-based game that turns the famous formula upside down in that it focuses on the green piggies who must protect the eggs grabbed from the birds. After a string of content updates and sequels, some feel the Angry Birds series has run its course.

Rovio is clearly banking on the success of Angry Birds here, but Bad Piggies is anything but yet another Angry Birds sequel. Gameplay footage and more info right below...

Check out first Bad Piggies gameplay footage

Angry Birds spinoff called Bad Piggies is slated to arrive on September 27 for iOS, Android and the Mac, but Rovio still wouldn't reveal gameplay video. Luckily, an exclusive hands-on by Yahoo! Games shows us the game's mechanics which takes cues from Amazing Alex, another physics-based game from Rovio.

This means Bad Piggies tasks you with building all sorts of funny vehicles and flying aircraft so that the pigs can steal more eggs. Contrast this to smashing things up in the Angry Birds series. That being said, the safest way to think about Bad Piggies is as the sibling of Angry Birds rather than its sequel. Check out exclusive gameplay footage right below...
