Rage HD Lands on the iPhone [and It Looks Amazing]

I'm not a gamer at all but I can certainly appreciate a good game when I see one. Rage HD, a first-person shooter from iD Software (the creators of Doom and Quake) is one of those.

Rage HD is an on-rails shooter where the character moves for you while you control his field of view, pointing and shooting at your enemies with an insane range of weapons.

Enough with the talking, let's have a look at Rage HD in action...

App Review: Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter

Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter developed by Tatem Games is a first person hunting simulation game that puts you in the shoes of a dinosaur hunter. The game throws you into 5 different locations and made me feel like the Australian hunter that thought he was the king but eventually got viciously eaten from either Jurassic Park 2 or 3 (does anybody remember?).

Your goal is to hunt down dinosaurs with a choice of 6 different weapons that most hunters’ use like the rifle, bow & arrow and shotgun. With these weapons at your disposal, you will be hunting all types of familiar dinosaurs such as the Stegosaurus, Velociraptor and of course, the big mama of them all, the T-Rex...

Official Google Voice Application Now Available in the App Store

Maybe this really is a day we'll never forget after all! Even though the Google Voice web app was pretty good, I always wondered why Google didn't release an official app, especially since Apple loosened up its App Store approval process. It's something I will never wonder again as Apple gave the green light today to the official Google Voice app.

There are already a couple Google Voice apps (1, 2) selling in the App Store, but seeing how good the new official app looks like, and the fact that it comes at the unbeatable price of $0, the official Google Voice application will probably be a success...

‘Back to the Future’ Flux Capacitor iPhone App Helps You Travel Back in Time

Have you ever wanted to travel back in time but couldn't afford the pricetag of a DeLorean? Now you can thanks to the Flux Capacitor app for iPhone. Best of all, going back to 1955 to kick Biff Tannen's ass will only cost you $.99.

The Flux Capacitor is what made time travel possible in the movie Back to the Future. Now it's your turn to launch into the past, fine tune the future, and disrupt the space-time continuum! The only downside to this application is that it requires 1.21 gigawatts of power to operate, so no need to say that your battery will drain very fast...

App Review: Ninjump

Backflip Studios (Paper Toss and Ragdoll Blaster) has done it again and created a amazing free game called Ninjump. This is a survival action game in which you run up against 2 sides of a building, achieving power-ups while dodging and avoiding obstacles.

Your goal is to not die and obtain the highest score possible. For those familiar with survival games than you should feel familiar with the concept, if not then I just explained it to you...

App Review: Medieval

Medieval, created by Briskmobile, is a castle defense game in which you must force the opposition to say “uncle!” by either blowing their castle to kingdom come, completely slaughtering their oncoming troops or by stealing their flag.

You control a huge bow on top of your castle and you must shoot arrows at the advancing forces. The enemy will come at you with everything they have: knights, soldiers, balloons, catapults and etc. You have to defend against them with your bow and army...

App Review: Slice it!

Slice it! , created by Com2uS, is a game that initially stirred up my attention by the iTunes App Store ratings. The current version has 106 ratings at 5 stars with 9045 ratings at 4.5 stars. Those are some pretty impressive stats aren't they?

I can't remember the last time I saw an app with ratings this high and would love some recommendations of other games with these kinds of ratings!

Anyways, Slice it! is a puzzle game that puts your Geometry skills to the test. I must admit, in High school I hated Geometry and barely did enough to get by, but don't worry! You won't be doing any Pi x Radius calculations but you will find yourself planning ahead and visualizing your strategy to achieve the most amount of stars possible...

Download SkyFire Flash Converter for iPhone

It's here folks. SkyFire is now available for download in the App Store. It was supposed to be released on Thursday but I guess Apple couldn't wait to provide us with a Flash content converter.

In case you just woke up, SkyFire is a new application that will take Flash content and convert it into HTML5 so you can view it on your iPhone. As we said before, SkyFire won't be able to convert all Flash content. Hulu videos for example won't be able to be converted.

You can download SkyFire in the App Store for $2.99. If you do, please make sure to leave a comment and tell us all about it.

App Review: Eat It!

Created by Dragon Team Interactive, Eat it! is an insanely simple game which features cute characters and equally matching charming music.

The concept is pretty straightforward and easy to pick up. You must feed lions or monkeys, the appropriate food they need. The lions will be eating meat and the monkeys will be eating fruit. That’s basically the game in a nutshell...

App Review: Super Mega Worm

A quick look at ‘Super Mega Worm’ may make you think that this was a ported game from the old-school Nintendo. A closer look at Developer’s website (Deceased Pixel), reveals that their whole concept is developing retro games.

With some of the amazing iPhone games coming out these days, I hope you guys aren’t turned off by retro graphics because with ‘Super Mega Worm’ it offers loads of gratuitous bloody fun in old-skool style!
