StealthFolder: turn folders invisible on jailbroken devices

Have you ever wanted the ability to hide a folder or app in plain sight on your iOS Home screen? StealthFolder is a new jailbreak tweak that lends such functionality to all jailbroken iPhone users.

With StealthFolder installed, all folders on the iOS Home screen are hidden, completely transparent, until you touch them. Once tapped, the folders open like normal, displaying their contents.

If you're looking to hide specific apps, but don't want the inconvenience of locking them down completely with Passcodes or Touch ID, then StealthFolder is a legitimate option.

Goodges: a tweak that replaces badge notifications with labels

Goodges is a new jailbreak tweak that lets you swap out app icon badges for app icon labels. In other words, the tweak is designed to showcase a label notifying you of pending notifications, instead of the traditional badge.

If you find app icon badges to be unsightly, then Goodges is a free tweak that you should consider. It allows you to see pending notifications for specific apps, without being subjected to the ugly badges that litter your Home screen.

Tweak Count 2: quickly view how many Cydia tweaks you have installed

Have you ever wondered how many jailbreak tweaks you have installed on your jailbroken iPhone at any given time? Of course, you can always open Cydia and manually count how many tweaks you have inside of the Installed tab, but wouldn't it be better if there was a running tally of installed tweaks provided right within Cydia? That's the premise behind Tweak Count 2—a free jailbreak tweak that provides you with a real time tally of installed Cydia tweaks.

Splitify: use Split View on all jailbroken iOS 9 devices

Splitify is a recently released jailbreak tweak that allows you to use iOS 9's Split View—a multitasking feature that's exclusive to the latest iPad models—on any jailbroken iOS 9 device. That means that, yes, as long as you're jailbroken on iOS 9, you can use Split View on your iPad Air, iPhone 6s, iPhone 5s, or other device.

How to enable the iPhone 6s’ keyboard trackpad mode on older jailbroken iPhones

If you have an older jailbroken iPhone like the iPhone 6 or iPhone 5s, then you're missing out on one of the best features made possible by 3D Touch featured on the iPhone 6s. Thanks to 3D Touch, the iPhone 6s' keyboard trackpad mode allows users to swipe on the keyboard to position the cursor accurately when typing or editing text.

The good news is that a newly release jailbreak tweak, found on up-and-coming developer collective Creatix's beta repo, brings some of the keyboard trackpad features to older devices.

SwitchService: a tweak that lets you quickly toggle between iMessage and SMS messages

BiteSMS was a jailbreak app that acted as an outright replacement for the stock Messages app. It was extremely popular due to the bevy of different features that it brought to the table. One such feature was the ability to quickly switch between sending messages as iMessages or standard SMS messages.

Sadly, BiteSMS has been defunct for some time now, and with it, many of the features that made it so great. But a new jailbreak tweak called SwitchService brings back the ability to toggle between iMessage and SMS messages, and as you'll see, it works very well.

Let’s Talk Jailbreak 136: A bad case of tweak poisoning

Episode 136: A controversial new unofficial Cydia website arrises, Auxo Legacy Edition gains iOS 9 compatibility, Activator gets a huge update, and several tweaks are reviewed, such as NCCards, Fern, Homemade Bread, AnySpot, PwnTunes, and more.

New unofficial “Cydia Online” website goes live

"Cydia Online" is the name of a new website that provides direct links to Cydia packages, repos, and information. The website, created by SwiftCracker, has no official affiliation with Cydia. We think it's only a matter of time before the name is changed, as it's blatantly infringing on saurik's trademark.

That said, the premise behind the so-called Cydia online is pretty cool. It's a fast online searchable vault of apps and tweaks found on Cydia's default repos and even popular third-party repos.

It's probably not going to last much longer under its current name, but the idea is, admittedly, an interesting one...

Auxo Legacy Edition gains support for iOS 9

Good news for those of you who are fans of Auxo—Auxo Legacy Edition, the jailbreak tweak created via a collaboration of Ryan Petrich and Sentry, has been updated for iOS 9. As you might remember, Auxo LE was a release that was built in the image of the original version of Auxo, which was a legendary jailbreak tweak that brought a new multitasking interface to iOS.

No new features can be expected with this latest update, but if you're running an iOS 9 jailbreak, you'll be happy to hear that Auxo LE should play nice with your jailbroken iPhone.

Fern: a brand new app launcher for jailbroken iPhones

Fern is a nicely designed app launcher tweak for jailbroken iOS 8 and iOS 9 devices. It’s a relatively simple launcher that can be accessed via an assigned Activator gesture.

Included in the launcher are two views: App and Favorites, and each can be customized to varying degrees via the tweak’s preferences. If you’re looking for a well-designed jailbreak tweak for launching your favorite apps quickly, then Fern may be worth its $1.99 asking price.
