How to quickly fix mispronounced Siri queries

You may be aware that there is already a feature in iOS that sort of lets you type in your questions to Siri instead of using voice commands. It's quite handy for those situations when talking aloud isn't an option or Siri fails to recognize repeatedly what you said. Starting with iOS 10, Siri includes a “Maybe You Said” feature.

Taking advantage of machine learning and artificial intelligence, it suggests corrections for mispronunciations or incorrectly recognized queries. In this post, you'll learn how to leverage this feature to avoid having to manually correct any mispronounced words.

New betas of iOS 10.2.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.3, watchOS 3.1.3 and tvOS 10.1.1 now available

Apple today released new OS betas to its registered developers. iOS 10.2.1 beta 3 (build 14D23), macOS Sierra 10.12.3 beta 3 (build 16D25a), watchOS 3.1.3 beta 2 (build 14S959) and tvOS 10.1.1 beta 2 (build 14U711) are now available for testing to the members of Apple Developer Program.

The latest builds can be installed over-the-air via the Software Update mechanism on devices that have an appropriate configuration profile installed on them.

The new builds have arrived nearly three weeks after a second beta of iOS 10.2.1 and macOS Sierra 10.12.3 released to registered developers.

Airmail 1.5 for iOS gains Workflow integration, custom actions & more

Airmail, the cross-platform email client by developer Bloop, has received a refresh on the App Store sporting a few noteworthy enhancements. Airmail 1.5 for iOS, a $4.99 download from the App Store, features integrations with the Bear Notes app and the popular iOS automation app Workflow. Other changes in Airmail 1.5 include new custom actions and Gmail authentication, the ability to select your default inbox, a new OpenURL action and minor fixes.

Sharp setting up OLED production line at Foxconn’s iPhone manufacturing plant

Apple's contract manufacturer Foxconn is taking advantage of its acquisition of Sharp as the Japanese giant plans to set up an OLED production line in Zhengzhou, a city of six million people in an impoverished region of northern China, according to a report by Japan-based Nikkei that was cited Monday by trade publication DigiTimes.

Much has been said about the virtues of the W1 chip Apple started baking into their latest wireless Beats line-up and of course the AirPods. By now we know for sure that W1 facilitates a much faster pairing process, as do we know that the chip significantly amplifies both battery life and conservation techniques. What’s less prominently talked about - at least from official sides - is the operating range of these wireless headphones and the presumed effect the W1 chip addition has had on that benchmark.

For I felt information on the internet was just a bit too murky to count on, I decided to take it upon myself and conduct a little experiment: I packed my rucksack with four headphones (two of which boast the new W1 chip) and headed to a nearby park in order to pit them against each other. Pairing them one after another and then slowly making a bee-line for the opposite direction, one thing quickly became clear: the results for the maximum distance obtainable aren’t surprising in terms of order, but they definitely are in their clarity.

Apps, whether they're downloaded from the App Store or Cydia, can crash from time to time because of underlying bugs, and re-launching it will sometimes let you go about using the app without any issues.

If you use a particular app that seems to crash here and there, then a new free jailbreak tweak called AutoLaunch could be your next best friend. It can automatically re-launch any app that crashes on your device so you don't have to re-launch it yourself.

Littlemoji shrinks the large Emojis in the Messages app on iOS 10

Starting with iOS 10, Apple has super-sized all of the Emojis that you send and receive via iMessage whenever they’re used without any complementary text.

Because the Emoji experience on iOS 10 feels a lot more like Facebook Messenger’s sticker system now and not everyone’s on board with it, a new free jailbreak tweak called Littlemoji can be used to return them back to their pre-iOS 10 size.

MultiActions lets you move and delete apps in bulk

One of the major shortcomings for those with iPhones and iPads, especially those with lots of apps installed on them, is the fact that you have to move or delete your apps one at a time. This becomes cumbersome when you want to put a number of your apps in or out of folders or delete multiple apps at once.

A new jailbreak tweak called MultiActions, on the other hand, will exclude your device from these shortcomings, as it allows you to move or delete multiple apps in bulk without having to do things one at a time.

New photos and a video have surfaced online showing an early-stage prototype of the original iPhone with a click wheel interface. Noted tipster Sonny Dickson is behind the leak, who says Apple called the operating system "Acorn OS."

As you can see in the images, Acorn OS's interface closely resembled that of the iPod, with a touchscreen click wheel and a small gray menu. You can also see phone functions like Dial and SMS, and features like Contacts and Notes.
