Best Buy Extremely Low on iPhone 4S Stock Due to High Consumer Demand

Judging by the huge number of people queueing for the iPhone 4S release a couple of weeks ago, it is fairly safe to say that demand for the iPhone that analysts called a "disappointment" is still strong.

Now, one analyst is pointing to dwindling Best Buy stocks as a sign that stock shortages are creeping up on all iPhone vendors, and that demand is outpacing Apple's supply chain.

W. Baird analyst William Power told clients that during research, his company checked with a number of Best Buy stores, and many locations are running out of stock...

Apple Fan Creates a Unique iPhone Mod as a Special Tribute to Steve Jobs

A 19-year-old Apple fan from Hong Kong has created a very special mod for the iPhone that places Steve Jobs inside the Apple logo on the back of the device. During the initial shock of Steve's passing, a designer created a graphic of the Apple logo with Steve Jobs' silhouette embedded in the logo itself.

That image became the inspiration for a very unique iPhone mod that is now available for purchase online...

It appears Apple's Mac OS X team is working on integrating two of iOS's biggest features into Mac OS X, with iMessage and AirPlay mirroring apparently in the pipeline.

According to 9to5Mac's sources, the Mac OS X team at Apple is currently working on ways to make both technologies part of a future Lion update, though there are no guarantee that the features will ever see the light of day.

iMessage in particular has been long rumored to be the replacement for iChat we've been waiting for, but AirPlay mirroring could potentially change the way presentations are given using a Mac...

Sync Photos and Video Between iDevices With PhotoSync

While Apple's Photo Stream is a great way of getting photos to sync across multiple devices, there's one glaring problem. Photo Stream doesn't support video, presumably because Apple doesn't want its servers full of hours and hours of 1080p videos showing cats sleeping.

It makes sense from a technical standpoint, but that doesn't help you if you need to get a video from one device to another. There's syncing with iTunes, and doing the iPhoto jig in the hope that everything works as planned, but it's a pain, and not always practical.

That's where PhotoSync comes in...

Samsung Working on Flexible Screens for Phones and Tablets

If anyone doubted whether Samsung really meant business in its pursuit of total smartphone marketshare ownership, this one little tidbit to come of the company's earnings call might just help to put the record straight.

During a call to discuss Samsung's most recent financial results, the company's spokesman, Robert Yi, said that Samsung was working on a flexible display for its upcoming smartphones and tablets.

Surely all this is pie-in-the-sky stuff for Samsung, right? Wrong. Samsung hopes to introduce flexible displays to its smartphone lineup in as early as 2012...

With each new product release, Apple launches a whole new advertising campaign around whatever fancy new features have been added, and the iPhone 4S is no exception.

Starting today, Apple is airing three new ads to help spread the word about the "most amazing iPhone yet." The 30-second spots feature iCloud, Siri, and the supercharged 8 megapixel camera packed into the iPhone 4S. And in typical Apple fashion, we're not sure where real products end and the hype machine begins...

Apple's iPhone 4S has already proved to be a huge success across the globe, so long as you happen to live in one of the seven initial launch countries. International Apple lovers fear not, for Apple's iPhone 4S has now gone on sale in 22 more countries.
