Angry Birds Updated to Version 2.0 with 15 New Levels

The ever popular Angry Birds has reached yet another milestone, with the bird-flinging game now two years-old. How the time flies (awful pun intended.)

To celebrate the occasion, Angry Birds' developer Rovio has updated the team's runaway success to version number 2.0. This 2.0 release of the original game has a few new tricks up its sleeve.

One of the first things you will notice is all-new artwork. But that's not all...

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Heads Up iPhone Game is Extremely Addictive

A few months ago we told you about RockLive, the development firm that specializes in teaming up with sports figures to create iPhone games. Some of their previous work includes popular titles like Mike Tyson's Main Event and Chad Ochocinco's Mad Chad.

Now the company has joined forces with world renowned soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. The $132 million dollar striker is known for tearing up the pitch for Spain's Real Madrid F.C., and now he's taking on the iPhone.

StyleTap Wrapper Brings Palm OS Apps to iOS

Palm fans haven't been the only ones to mourn the demise of the aged platform. Now the few developers who made it their job to create Palm OS apps have a lifeline, and it's a lifeline that could open up a brave new world of mobile app development for those who have been left behind.

StyleTap's new iOS Wrapper SDK allows developers to take their old Palm OS apps and make them ready for submission to Apple's App Store. Whether Apple sees fit to accept the submissions, though, is anybody's guess.

More importantly, the jailbreak is untethered — something we were previously concerned about regarding 5.0.1. We found out that an untethered jailbreak was possible a few days ago, and now it's been confirmed as working on the iPhone 4.

Apple Looking to Expand Bluetooth Support in iOS

Other than a handful of stereo receivers and standalone speakers, there aren't many AirPlay-compatible accessories on the market. Manufacturers haven't really adopted Apple's wireless technology like the company had hoped it would.

So it's no surprise that Macotakara, a Japanese blog known for leaking Apple information, is reporting that the company is looking to rethink wireless connectivity in iOS. The company is now apparently showing a deep interest in Bluetooth.

Radio Shack Offering $30 Off AT&T iPhone 4 and 4S

Folks that missed out on all of the Black Friday festivities will be happy to hear that retailers aren't quite done discounting Apple products yet. Yesterday, we told you about some major iPad deals going on over at Apple.com, and now we've come across some other specials.

It appears that Radio Shack, one of America's largest electronics retailers, is discounting most of its AT&T-branded smartphones this month. The sale covers Android handsets by top manufacturers like HTC and Sony, and also includes the iPhone 4 and 4S...

Apple Gets Final Go-Ahead For iPhone 4S Release in China, Release Imminent

It's all systems go for Apple in China, after the country's regulators gave the iPhone 4S the last level approval required before going on sale.

According to reports, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the required network access permit this week, removing the final stumbling block which had prevented the latest iPhone from going on sale in the country. Apple had recently confirmed that the iPhone 4S was indeed ready to be released, and that the company was simply awaiting the go-ahead from the authorities.

The move means that Apple and its wireless partners now have all they need to bring the iPhone 4S to the largest smartphone market on the planet...

Video Stream Lets You Sync Videos From Your iOS Device With iCloud

Apple recently introduced Photo Stream, the iCloud service that keeps your photos in sync across your iOS devices and desktop computers.

The problem with Photo Stream is the distinct lack of video support. Apple and the carriers don't want to be sending huge video files over their networks. With the iPhone 4S now recording 1080p video, that's a lot of data going over 3G.

Thankfully, Apple has given developers an API so they can get their teeth into iCloud's storage servers, and that is where one developer saw its chance. Video Stream offers a way to keep video files in sync across multiple devices, just as Photo Stream does for images...

Flight Control and Flight Control HD Go Free For 24 Hours in the App Store

Flight Control was one of the original runaway successes of the iOS gaming era, and when Electronic Arts released an iPad version, its sales went crazy overnight. Releases on just about every other platform, including the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, followed.

If for some reason you are one of the few that doesn't already own Flight Control and Flight Control HD, EA has put both games on sale as part of their EA Daily Deals promotion.

We haven't even told you the best part yet! When we said the games were on sale, what we actually meant was you can now pick both Flight Control and Flight Control HD up for absolutely nothing. Free. Gratis. Etc...

Samsung’s Anti-Apple TV Ads Continue by Taking Cheap Shots at iCloud

Samsung has been on a warpath with its advertising team over the past few weeks. We've seen them air multiple commercials that blatantly take shots at iPhone users, and a full-blown Facebook anti-Apple campaign.

The company's latest TV ad to find its way to the air waves is called "Movies and Music." And once again it features a group of young adults waiting in line for the new iPhone, when a Galaxy S II catches their eyes...

5 Tips to Get the Most Out of Flipboard for iPhone

After months of success on the iPad, Flipboard finally found its way to the iPhone recently. The news magazine app has gotten dozens of rave reviews and has already made its way into the top 50 list of free apps in the App Store.

While Flipboard does have a gorgeous user interface, it can be tough to locate all of its features. It's especially difficult trying to learn the app's ins and outs on the iPhone's smaller screen for the folks who weren't iPad Flipboard users...

Motorola Wins Injunction Against Apple in Germany

Motorola Mobility has just announced that it has scored a major victory in its ongoing patent war with Apple. Just as the iPhone-makers have done to Samsung, Motorola has just won an injunction that bans the import of 3G iPads and iPhones into Germany.

This will be the company's second German court victory in as many months, but the ramifications for Apple are a lot more serious this time around. Unless Apple wins an appeal, it will be forced to stop shipping some of its biggest products into the country...
