After weeks of beta testing, the day has finally arrived. The next update for iOS and iPadOS is now available to the public. Now, it's not quite the big update we're all waiting for -- iOS 15 doesn't arrive until this fall -- but it's certainly a noteworthy uptick in version number, at least.

PadGrid condenses the Home Screen layout on jailbroken iPads
Anyone with an iPad knows that the Home Screen’s layout is locked to a specific grid with no adjustability out of the box.
The lone exception to this rule is that you can have widgets on the left side of the screen and apps on the right on the first page. Configuring the Home Screen in this way condenses the app icons. Still, it’s not ideal for the remaining pages.

Apple started the beta process for the next update to its major platforms back in May. And now the company is moving along with the process.
On Tuesday, Apple seeded the second betas of iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 to registered developers. While there were some minor discoveries made after the first beta was seeded, it looks like this update will be minor in terms of new additions. It's likely that Apple is aiming to smooth out any underlying issues discovered since the public launch of iOS 14.6 earlier this year.
