Apple seeds fourth betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, macOS Big Sur 11.5, watchOS 7.6, and tvOS 14.7 to developers

While Apple is moving towards the future release of iOS 15, the company isn’t quite ready to give up on iOS 14 just yet. As a result, the company is still beta testing another minor update for that version of the mobile operating system. And today, there’s a new beta.

Apple on Tuesday seeded the fourth betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, macOS Big Sur 11.5, watchOS 7.6, and tvOS 14.7 to developers. Apple will seed a corresponding public beta for supported platforms in the near future. Of course, it should be said that this developer beta should not be installed on a daily driver. It may still be a rough experience for daily usage.

Developers can download the new betas from Apple’s developer center. iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 can also be downloaded and installed as an over-the-air (OTA) update on registered devices.

As far as what’s new, there were at least a couple of new things added. First, the new software supports timer controls for the HomePod from within the Home app. And iOS 14.7 also adds air quality information to more countries within Apple’s stock Weather app.

The latest betas are available now for registered developers. We’ll update this post once the public betas are made available as well.
