While I enjoy using Twitter, I’ve come to frown upon the bevy of promoted Tweets that litter the News Feed viewing experience. Fortunately, you can now get around this if you have a jailbroken device.
Upon launching the Cydia Store and refreshing your sources, you should notice a new free jailbreak tweak called NoTwitterAds by iOS developer Chloee. This tweak does away with all promoted Tweets in your News Feed, much like the one shown above.
Due to the high volume of dark mode-centric jailbreak tweaks that are launched in the Cydia Store, we seldom cover them here at iDB. But because I use the Google Maps app so much on my daily driver during my commute, a new release dubbed Dark Gmaps by iOS developer FoxfortMobile seemed like a no-brainer.
If you were expecting a barebones tweak that merely colorizes the Google Maps app to look more appealing at night, then we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by Dark GMaps. After installation, the tweak adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you can experiment with a plethora of creeper comfort features:
You don’t always have the time or opportunity to sit down at your computer to work on your resume. But these days, you don’t have to rely on your Mac. You can create and send attractive and professional resumes right from your iPhone or iPad. This lets you work on that all-important document anywhere, anytime.
These are the two best apps for creating resumes on iPhone and iPad.
Cortana, Microsoft's own personal digital assistant, has been overhauled on iPhone and iPad this morning with a sleek new design that includes a brand-new conversational experience for answers alongside new features such as support for podcasts and music-streaming services like Spotify, iHeartRadio and TuneIn.
Apple has updated its Smart Keyboard alongside the new iPad Pro models for 2018. Taking user feedback seriously, the new iPad keyboard features a streamlined design that’s finally adjustable for added versatility while protecting both the front and the back of your tablet.
The ever-so-popular Mobile Terminal (MTerminal) app for jailbroken devices was updated on Tuesday with official support for iOS 11, a move that’s certain to excite jailbreak power users. The latest version of the app is now 1.4-6.
MTerminal is fundamentally an on-device command-line interface (CLI) that lets jailbreakers run powerful commands, and if you’re a veteran jailbreaker, then the interface shown above should look nostalgically familiar.
Apple recently unveiled their new flagship iPad Pro models, and our friends over at iMobie immediately offered to join forces with us in order to give one away to a lucky iDB reader, or rather a lucky iDB listener.
At stake here is a 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi‑Fi 64GB. Valued at over $1,000, this device could be yours, in the finish of your choice, if of course you have what it takes to win.
The App Store is home to a plethora of third-party alternatives to the official Twitter app; they exist in response to some of the official app’s shortcomings. But if you have a jailbroken iOS device, then you can often tweak the official Twitter app to get precisely what you want out of it.
Enter Twitter Labs, a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Chloee that gives jailbreakers access to a multitude of settings and features that one could only dream of accessing on a stock device.
In a recent update to the official Twitter app, the social network now requires mobile users to tap a floating button at the bottom-right of the screen to compose a Tweet.
Unfortunately, Twitter doesn’t let users move the floating Tweet composition button out of its default location, but with a new free jailbreak tweak called MovableTweetButton by iOS developer Chloee, you can finally drag it out of your way.
In 2014, iOS developer Elias Limneos released a popular jailbreak tweak dubbed SmartTap that allowed users to perform touch-driven actions such as sleep, wake, unlock, and app-launching when the handset's touch screen was turned off.
Now, Limneos is breathing new life into SmartTap with the release of SmartTap X for jailbroken iOS 11 devices.
iOS hacker Pwn20wnd was played an instrumental role in various iOS 11-centric projects in recent memory, including the Electra and unc0ver jailbreak tools and the Rollectra un-jailbreaking tool. As of this weekend, however, we can add the Osiris jailbreak tool to that list.
Pwn20wnd released a rewrite of the Osiris jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.4 beta 3 Sunday afternoon. Osiris uses Ian Beer’s tried and true iOS 11 exploits to achieve a jailbreak on the aforementioned firmware versions, but unlike other jailbreak tools available already, it doesn’t install Cydia.
The jailbreak community is lucky to have Pwn20wnd on its side. After releasing several more updates to unc0ver, the jailbreak tool is now more stable and reliable than ever before, and that’s awesome for anyone who wants to install jailbreak tweaks to customize their device(s).
This roundup will encompass all the jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, November 5th to today, Sunday, November 11th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by talking about our favorite releases first and then wrap things up by outlining the rest afterward.
