Stay Away from This Fake MineCraft App, It’s a Scam

Although Apple has done a great job keeping malicious software out of the App Store, it hasn't quite figured out how to keep the scammers at bay. It seems like we've seen several misleading apps surface in the App Store over the past few months.

What happens is, Apple will approve an application that doesn't appear to be harmful. But for some reason, they fail to notice that the app's description doesn't have anything to do with what it actually does. And we've just come across another one...

Fans of the Xbox Kinect will know all about Kinectimals, a game that gives gamers a way to interact with virtual pets using the Kinect hands-free gaming accessory. If you are already a Kinectimals player on your Xbox 360, the new iOS app will unlock some more cubs for you to play with. You know, if that's your thing.

Dragon Shout for iOS Keeps You From Getting Lost in the World of Skyrim

If you're a gaming fan then you're probably well aware of the latest open-world RPG that is taking the world by storm, Skyrim.

The thing with games as large as Skyrim is that, unless you're a world champion in the memory department, it is extraordinarily easy to get lost in the game's expansive universe. Yes, there is an in-game map that can be brought up for viewing when needed, but constantly opening and closing the menus gets tiresome pretty quickly.

That's where Dragon Shout, a new iOS app, comes in. What you'll get for free, is a hand-drawn map of Skyrim, complete with the ability to place markers when you find something you want to visit later...

EA Launches Daily Deals Page for its iOS Games

With Christmas just two weeks away, developers are undoubtedly going to start rolling out their app specials soon. It's the holidays, and just as publishers hosted major app sales over Thanksgiving week, we expect to see tons of deals this month.

EA, or Electronic Arts rather, was at the forefront of the discounting in November, shaving up to 80% off of some of its most popular titles. And apparently it has even bigger plans in store for December, as the company has setup a dedicated Daily Deals site...

Scribblenauts App Store Game Introduces Gameplay Integration with Siri

Popular handheld puzzler Scribblenauts has seen an update to its iOS version that brings an iPhone 4S-only feature to the game.

For those not familiar with the concept, Scribblenauts' challenge comes from the requirement to achieve specific goals by manoeuvring Maxwell around the level by using adjectives and nouns to create in-world objects. Tell the game you want a flamethrower or ladder, for example, and you'll be given one. It's an interesting approach to the puzzle genre.

This new update goes one step further by allowing you to speak your conjuring requests using the power of Siri on the iPhone 4S.

Members of Microsoft's popular online gaming community, Xbox LIVE, will be happy to hear that an official iOS app has just surfaced in the App Store. There had been some doubt on whether Microsoft would port the app to Apple's mobile OS.
