Tiny Wings HD lands with three new game modes, iPad Retina graphics, more

Tomorrow's a big day for us gamers as two exciting releases are due to hit the iOS platform: Rovio's new puzzler called Amazing Alex and Tiny Wings 2, a sequel to Andreas Illiger's little gem that charmed us with the cutesy bird character, cartoonish graphics and its simple yet addictive gameplay that has you jumping up and down the hills.

Turns out Tiny Wings 2 isn't really a sequel per se, but rather a free update to the original game, Tiny Wings 2.0 really. There's no reason to get disappointed as there's so much to look forward to, especially with a brand new iPad version coming. Amazing Alex hitting iOS, Android on Thursday, here’s your launch trailer

Rovio said last week it would launch its brand new puzzler Amazing Alex some time during this month. Today, the Finnish developer posted a new launch trailer and announced a release date: Amazing Alex will be landing on your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad on Thursday, July 12 (alongside Tiny Wings 2).

Tiny Wings 2 set to hit iOS on July 12th

Back in May, Tiny Wings creator Andreas Illiger told reporters that the world could expect a sequel to his popular mobile game "within 3 weeks." But those 3 weeks came and went, and we haven't heard a peep.

Then yesterday, Illiger finally broke the silence by releasing a Tiny Wings 2 teaser trailer. And while the video doesn't give much information away regarding the game, we have to admit, it's pretty fun to watch...

Rovio teases Amazing Alex, a new puzzler launching in July

Angry Birds maker Rovio today formally announced its next big thing, a new puzzler for the iOS platform based on their IP acquisition of Casey's Contraptions, a charming and addictive puzzle game by Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut.

Rovio hinted in early-May that it would re-write and re-brand Casey's Contraptions as Amazing Alex. The game will be launching in July on iOS and Android platforms, with Windows following soon after. Here's your trailer...
