Apple TV+ sci-fi series ‘Foundation’ is getting a companion podcast

Apple is still a leader when it comes to podcast distribution. And with podcast popularity still at an all-time high, the company wants to make sure it doesn't miss the bus altogether. As a result, companion podcasts meant to promote, and diver even deeper into, Apple Original films and TV shows are a thing. And now there's a new one to look forward to.

Earlier this month, Apple confirmed that its fall lineup slate for Apple TV+ would consist of at least three new family -friendly series, created mostly for kids. We got a trailer for one of the upcoming shows at the time, and now we get a look at the other two.

Today, Apple TV+ has shared the trailers for both Puppy Place and Get Rolling With Otis. The former of the pair is based on a Scholastic best-seller of the same name, which was written by Ellen Miles. The series is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 15, 2021. It's a scripted series, where people try to find "fur-ever" homes for puppies that need them.

Earlier this month, the judge overseeing the legal action between Apple and Epic Games came to a decision. With it, it mostly ruled in Apple's favor -- with the exception of one major ruling. However, there is still room for appeals. And Epic Games is even appealing one of the decisions on its own. As a result, it's not quite as finalized as some might hope, including Apple and Epic.
