I've been attacked twice in my life, once as a collateral victim of a silly bar fight and the other time I got robbed and beaten badly as a bonus in a shady suburb in a foreign country. It's an ugly experience I wish to never go through again.

Free wireless internet provider FreedomPop to go LTE

Back in May of this year, we told you about FreedomPop. The up-and-coming wireless broadband provider plans to disrupt the traditional carrier model with a combination of free 4G service, and iPhone products.

The idea sounded great on paper: offer iPhone users free service in exchange for buying these $99 cases with built-in FreedomPop modems. But sadly, the company seemed intent on using WiMAX technology...

Kickstarter foldable iPhone keyboard pushes all the right buttons

We've brought you plenty of Kickstarter projects over the years. Some iPhone related, some iPad related, and a few of them have been keyboards, too. This particular keyboard though has something of a party trick, with the Spike iPhone case and keyboard combination allowing owners to fold the buttons around to the back for when they are not in use.

Costing around $50 for the premium model, the case and keyboard combo needs to reach $75,000 in order to be fully funded, and is expected to begin shipping around October time.

Don't worry though, you've still got 34 days in order to get your pledge in...

Apple files for interesting bluetooth headset patent

Aside from making hit smartphones and tablets, Apple has produced a long line of iOS accessories. There's the Smart Cover, the iPad Keyboard Dock, the iPod Hi-Fi Stereo, oh and remember Apple's Bluetooth headset?

While the device didn't garner much consumer attention, it appears that Apple hasn't given up on the headset market. According to a new patent application, the company has another one in the works...

If the iCade Mobile game accessory isn't your thing and you're a retro type, consider the GameDock, a cool new Kickstarter project which turns your iPhone into an old-school TV-based game console. It's simple, really: the GameDock, as the name suggests, is a game dock-like accessory where you plug your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, akin to a game cartridge.

You can also pair your device with it over Bluetooth. It includes video output and comes equipped with an USB game controller with physical buttons and an HDMI adapter...
