This iPhone 6 concept may be the best yet

With the iPhone 6 expected to get one of its largest redesigns ever, designers have spent the last year creating concepts of what they believe the handset will look like. Some of them would probably be better suited for a science fiction novel, but others have looked fairly plausible.

This latest concept from well-known designer Martin Hajek may be one of the most realistic we've ever seen. Based on leaked parts, physical mockups and rumors from multiple tech outlets, Hajek has laid out his vision for the iPhone 6 right down to the circuits on the logic board...

New photos show alleged iPad Air 2 shell

Some new photos popped up on China's Sina Weibo microblogging site this weekend of what is claimed to be the rear shell of a second-gen iPad Air. Posted by accessory maker Yi Lin Enterprises, the photos could shed some light on what Apple's upcoming tablet looks like.

For the most part, the component matches up with the one found on the current iPad Air, but there are a few differences. For starters, the speaker grille now features one row of large holes instead of two rows of tiny holes, and it looks like the rear mic has been relocated...

Photos of alleged Home button parts for both iPhone 6 models surface

A new set of photos depicting alleged Home button components for the iPhone 6 surfaced this morning, courtesy of our friends over at Nowhereelse.fr. While we have seen parts like these before, these are particularly interesting for a couple of reasons.

The first is that they supposedly belong to both the 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models, which is significant because we've seen far less supply chain evidence of the latter, as it's been rumored to be delayed. And the second is that they feature all-new designs...

Analyst predicts initial iWatch shipments may be limited due to sapphire issues

Noted KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo issued a new note to investors today regarding the upcoming iWatch. Echoing his thoughts from earlier this month, Kuo says he believes that only around 3 million units or so of Apple's smartwatch will ship this year.

Citing supply chain sources, the analyst blames production issues for the device's limited availability. More specifically, Kuo believes that Apple is running into problems with the iWatch's sapphire cover lens, pushing mass production back until late-November...

During Apple's quarterly earnings conference call on Tuesday, Tim Cook said that the company has acquired 5 companies in the last 4 months, not including Beats electronics. We've known about two of the purchases, Spotsetter and LuxVue, and today we add a third.

TechCrunch is reporting that Apple recently acquired BookLamp, a startup based out of Boise, Idaho, that developed big data-style book analytics services. Described as "Pandora for books," the service recommends books through digital analysis of author writing styles...

For those unfamiliar with the service, Twitch is a San Francisco-based company that enables people to broadcast video game sessions from their consoles, computers, and as of March, mobile devices. It also distributes content from CBS Interactive partners...

BioShock may finally be coming to iOS

We've been hearing rumors since 2008 that 2K was bringing its popular first person shooter BioShock to mobile platforms. At one point, they actually released a trailer for the game, and named IG Fun Studios as its mobile port partner.

But somewhere along the way, the concept got shelved, and was never mentioned again—until now. Yesterday, 2K tweeted the above photo followed by '#discuss,' and many believe it's a hint the BioShock mobile project is back in gear...

Spigen introduces new cases for 4.7-inch iPhone 6

We've seen a handful of alleged iPhone 6 cases in the past few months, but for the most part they've been nameless one-offs. Today, however, major accessory-maker Spigen has thrown its hat into the proverbial next-gen ring with new Thin Fit and Thin Fit A cases.

For those unfamiliar with Spigen, it's an Irvine, California-based company that makes cases, screen protectors and various other accessories for smartphones and tablets. And clearly, it's very confident that it knows what Apple's next handset is going to look like...

Citing 'people briefed on the talks,' the outlet says that Apple executives have discussed launching a mobile wallet as soon as this fall, which will allow people to use their iPhones to buy things. Such a service has been rumored for the company for years...

Apple granted ‘iTime’ patent for smart wristband

With no physical evidence supporting the ongoing 'iWatch' rumors, we continue to search for other forms of proof that Apple is indeed working on a smartwatch. And today, we are adding a new piece to the puzzle with the 'iTime' patent.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted the Cupertino company a patent today for a new device called the 'iTime.' It's described as a smart wristband that contains various sensors and wireless radios, so it can talk to other devices...
