Badland, one of the best mobile games, has been updated with 3D Touch support

Badland by indie developer Frogmind, is one of the best survival games on any platform. In Badland, the player flies around a little black creature named Clony through the surreal, beautifully rendered woods.

Starting today, you can use 3D Touch gestures on your iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to quickly access the built-in editor or continue playing the single player campaign right from the Home screen. In addition, 3D Touch allows a brand new kind of puzzles and gameplay with all-new force objets.

Jump Jack review: a retro platformer that will keep you on the edge

If you are looking for a retro style arcade platformer, this is your lucky week. A brother duo development team has just launched a game that clearly was created from the minds of old school gamers.

Super Sharp review: simple physics make this game fun and challenging

Finger-swiping games really stand out on touch-screen devices. Before smartphones, there really wasn't such a thing. Now, slicing and dicing with your finger has become its own category.

Super Sharp is one such game, but it adds a nice physics-based mechanic to a minimalist puzzle that is quite entertaining. We've got a full game review of Super Sharp below. See if it is something you'd like.

Some of the previously pulled apps and games now returning to App Store’s Purchased history

Many of the iPhone and iPad applications that have vanished from users' Purchased histories are now returning to the App Store, TouchArcade reports, suggesting the whole brouhaha was but a glitch in the App Store.

Not all of the pulled games have returned, however, though some classics like Ngmoco's games and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 can now be re-downloaded through the App Store's Purchased tab again.

Gonzo action game The Executive is IGN’s Free Game of the Month

So you want to be the CEO of a trillion dollar mining company that has been infiltrated by werewolves? Look no further than The Executive by Riverman Media, a title unlike any other mobile game on the market.

The Executive, normally a $4.99 download from the App Store, has just gone free via IGN's ongoing Free Game of the Month promotion, marking the first time the game has hone free since its July 2015 debut.

Best of all, there are no ads and no In-App Purchases in The Executive so this single free download is all you need. The Executive is part rhythm game and part 2D fighter and can be yours at no charge if you follow our instructions on redeeming your free copy.

Many more high-profile games being pulled from App Store and removed from purchase histories

A bunch of premium iPhone, iPod touch and iPad games from major publishers such as Electronics Arts, Telltale Games, Capcom, Sega, 2K Games and many others have been removed from both the App Store and customers' purchase histories without notice, TouchArcade cautioned.

As a result, those who had bought a game can no longer access or re-download it unless it was already installed on their device. No explanation for the removal from customer purchase history was provided in spite of media requests.

Apple on Thursday named Tapinator's "Combo Quest" its App of the Week for this week. This means that for the next 7 days, you'll be able to grab the popular role playing game for free for both your iPhone and iPad—a nice little savings of $1.

MAME emulator shown running on an Apple TV dev kit

The new Apple TV, which still lacks an official launch date, but is scheduled to touch down sometime in late October, is looking like quite the winner. Not only do the apps look great, but the Siri remote looks lightyears better than its predecessor. Even more exciting, for me however, is the prospect of running old school games by way of emulators.

While it's doubtful that we'll ever see emulators allowed in the App Store, users can now take it upon themselves to side load apps using Xcode 7. With this in mind, several developers have taken the initiative to create Apple TV emulators. One of the latest emulators to be shown off is a MAME emulator by developer Kevin Smith.

MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, and as its name states, it allows gamers to emulate games from a variety of arcade hardware. As first spotted by MacRumors' Juli Clover, Smith has posted a video of the his MAME emulator running on an Apple TV dev kit.

Lifeline 2 review: 3 Minute Games gets magical

When Apple Watch first launched, 3 Minute Games made a huge impression with its choose-your-own-adventure game, Lifeline, designed for the wrist worn device. It is a simple text-based game where players help a character on the other end survive. It was a huge hit with Apple Watch owners.

Lifeline 2 is out now and it is definitely a proper follow up to the first game. It has all the same charm as its predecessor, but has an entirely new story and includes some new features to make players happy. We've got a full game review of Lifeline 2 for your reading enjoyment.

Sky review: a game that is as simple as its name

With all the new features in iOS 9, it is quite a frenzy of excitement around here. It can sometimes be hard to remember to appreciate the simple things in life, like the smell of summer rain or the first leaves of fall, or a cool minimalist game.

Sky is a simple tapping game with an appealing minimalist visual aesthetic that relaxes and invigorates at the same time. I know I sound like I'm talking about soap, but if you play the game, you'll know what I mean. We've got a game review of Sky for you today.

Hands-on with ReplayKit, a new iOS 9 framework that lets you record and share gameplay

If popular services like Twitch and YouTube Gaming have taught us anything, it's that gamers love recording their games, and people love watching said recordings. Building on that popularity, Apple's ReplayKit, announced at WWDC 2015, is a new iOS 9 framework that lets developers incorporate the ability to record gaming playback and commentary for saving and sharing online.

Today, some of the first games with ReplayKit support were made available on the App Store. In fact, Apple has an entire App Store section dedicated to ReplayKit enabled games.

How does ReplayKit work, and is it any good? Have a look at our synopsis for all of the details.
