Seng: a new Auxo alternative now available on Cydia

It's been a big day for jailbreak releases. First, we had the highly anticipated Multiplexer land on Cydia, and now, we have Seng, another much-anticipated tweak, albeit less so than Multiplexer.

Seng, as we discussed back in in August, is a jailbreak tweak that's inspired by Auxo. Actually, just calling it "inspired" would be doing it a disservice; Seng is heavily influenced by Auxo.

After being in beta for nearly two months, Seng is now available for purchase on Cydia for $2.50. Should you consider taking a look at it?

Keek: the best way to view apps in Control Center

Seng: an Auxo alternative for iOS 8 jailbreakers

I know I've caught a lot of flack in the past for comparing other tweaks to Auxo. Some people think that I'm biased when it comes to Auxo and its creators, but as I've said in the past, I just like to call a spade a spade.

If you get offended by the mere mention of Auxo, then you may want to jump right into the article, and skip the next sentence.

Seng is a tweak that's heavily inspired by Auxo. There I said it. There's simply no denying that fact.

But that doesn't mean it's not a great tweak. Auxo 3 isn't even updated for iOS 8.4, so your options are limited if you enjoy its functionality. Developer Charlie Hewitt saw this as an opportunity, and has stepped in to offer Seng—a tweak that pays homage to the Auxo series, but finds enough solid footing to stand on its own two feet. Alympus: a meticulously-designed App Switcher replacement with tons of character

Well-respected developer Kyle Howells, and renowned UI designer, Surenix, have teamed up for something special. CCSwipe adds customizable swipe zones to iOS

CCSwipe is a recently released tweak that replaces the standard Control Center swipe gesture with a gesture that invokes the App Switcher, and a gesture that takes you to the Home screen.

‘Return’ adds a recent apps launcher to Control Center

Developer William Vabrinskas, creator of jailbreak tweaks like Boxy and InstaURL, is back with a brand new tweak that's sure to turn some heads. His new tweak is called Return, and although it's not yet available on Cydia, it should be soon.

Return allows users to access recently used apps via a launcher placed at the top of the Control Center interface. Instead of wasting the available real estate, Return makes use of the empty area above Control Center by populating it with recently used apps.

How to give Control Center a cleaner look using CClean

CClean, pronounced "clean", is a jailbreak tweak that aims to tidy up the Control Center in iOS. The tweak began as a way to remove distracting backgrounds from the brightness slider and the AirDrop/AirPlay sections, but it evolved into an overall Control Center cleaning tool.

This free release allows you to remove backgrounds from a variety of different Control Center assets, and features the ability to hide any section of Control Center. If you're looking for a way to give your Control Center a minimalistic look, then CClean is a tweak worth checking out.
