Looking to add some new iOS games to your collection this weekend? 2K can help. The publisher announced on Friday that it will be running an ‘Independence Day’ sale on some of its high-profile mobile titles over the next week.
Included in the promotion are popular sports games such as NBA 2K15 and NHL 2K, as well as the turn-based strategy hit Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution 2 and BioShock. The discounts range from 25% off, to well over 50% off.
Earlier this month, publisher 2K Games and developer Firaxis announced that Sid Meier’s Starships, a brand new tactical strategy game in the Beyond Earth universe, will be coming to the Mac, iPad and Windows platforms this Spring.
And now, the first ever gameplay footage of Starships went live on YouTube, with Sid Meier himself demoing the game as part of the Firaxis Games Megapanel at PAX South.
Publisher 2K Games and developer Firaxis Games are gearing up to launch a new interstellar strategy game for Mac and Windows PCs and the iPad, Polygon said Monday.

2K games this morning released XCOM: Enemy Within for iOS, an expansion for its popular turn-based military sim XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Fans of the franchise will recognize the title, as it was released to PCs and consoles around this time last year.
2K is calling Enemy Within a “standalone expansion” due to the fact that it features the core gameplay of Enemy Unknown, and builds on its storyline, but it’s a completely separate app. You do not need one of the games installed in order to play the other.
Heads up gamers, a major new title has landed on iOS this evening. The official mobile port of 2K Game’s Bioshock—thought by some to be one of the best first person shooters of all time—is now available in the App Store, for both the iPhone and iPad, for $15.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it’s set in an underwater Utopia in the midst of a civil war. You play as Jack, a cast-away from an airplane crash who finds himself trapped in this mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters.

Meanwhile, 2K Games has teamed up with developer TransGaming to bring you an all-new XCOM game for the Mac, The Bureau – XCOM Declassified.

Of course, it’s really an updated version of 2K’s ongoing NBA series for the iPhone and iPad, refreshed with the 2013-14 season stats, players, venues and other data (just like EA Sports’ FIFA series)…
