If you've ever considered jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad, no doubt you've heard about an iOS hacker going by the handle Comex, the guy who discovered several important exploits, and the creator of JailbreakMe.

Besides his Twitter handle, we don't know much about Comex. A Forbes journalist did a bit of digging and found out who Comex really is, and managed to talk to him...

Foxconn to Replace Workers With Robots in the Next 3 Years

If you would have asked the world 40 years ago what 2012 would be like, a lot of folks would have probably said that we'd be driving vehicles that didn't touch the ground and there'd be tons of robots.

While flying-cars still appear to be a long ways away from materializing, the latter prediction may not be too far off. Apple's go to parts manufacturing firm Foxconn is reportedly about to add 1 million robots to the population...

MailKeyboardHide De-Clutters Your iPhone Compose Screen

Just last month we told you about SMSHideKeyboard, a jailbreak tweak that brought iOS 5-like SMS keyboard hiding to the jailbreak scene.

Today we have a similar tweak, but one that has a trick up its sleeve. Going by the name of MailKeyboardHide, this slight variation of SMSHideKeyboard offers the ability to hide the iPhone's keyboard during the composition of emails.

The iPhone Now Dominates the Skies

According to new a figure coming out of in-flight WiFi provider GoGo, Apple's iPhone makes up two thirds of mobile device usage in the skies. The iPhone's smaller sibling, the iPod touch, also accounts for a massive 20% of those using a small-screened device to access the internet while in the sky.

It's not such good news for Google's Android, however. According to an AllThingsD report, despite there being more different Android devices than there are people on the planet, (perhaps a slight exaggeration) devices powered by Google's operating system make up a paltry 12% of mobile devices used...

InstantCam Helps Take iPhone Photos Quickly

The iPhone 4 has a great camera, which makes it even more frustrating that the Camera app is just so damn slow.

It's a common complaint. You spot the perfect photograph, but by the time you've tapped the icon, waited for the app to load, focussed, and finally hit the button to take the picture, the moment is gone.

IntantCam aims to stop that from happening, and it seems to work...

iPhone Market Share Grows 141.8 Percent Each Year

In Apple's last earnings call, it was announced that 20 million iPhones had been sold in Q3 of 2011 alone. Apple has overtaken Nokia as the world's leading smartphone vendor, and a recent report also places Apple as the top smartphone manufacturer in the US.

With the iPhone's seemingly unstoppable growth rate, it's not a surprise that Apple's 5 year old smartphone now sees a 141.8% year-over-year increase in market share.
