New Infinity Blade III video posts ahead of next week’s release

Chair has today posted a new video teasing its upcoming Infinity Blade III title, the third installment in the developer's popular hack-and-slash series. The game first debuted during Apple's iPhone event on Tuesday, where it demonstrated the power of the A7.

Today's clip is entitled 'Infinity Blade: Origins,' and it does a great job of summing up events in the first two games and introducing the third. In typical Infinity Blade-fashion, both graphics and audio of the video are top-notch—so it's definitely worth watching...

Calendars 5 review: one of the best calendar apps for iOS

A few days ago, Readdle launched a brand new calendar app in the App Store. No, this is not just an update to Calendars + with a new skin. This is a brand new app with brand new features.

Calendars 5 is an iOS 7 friendly productivity app that lets you sync with your Google or iOS calendar, add reminders from your iOS Reminders app, and the best part, it is a universal app for both iPhone and iPad…

Microsoft posts series of terrible ads bashing new iPhones [updated]

Now, we're no strangers to Microsoft's anti-Apple marketing antics. Whether it be Surface against iPad or Windows Phone against iPhone, the company has made it very clear that they are gunning for Tim Cook and his team out there in Cupertino.

And up until now, the effectiveness of Microsoft's ads have been questionable at best—it's tough to proclaim your product is better than another when sales and reviews suggest the opposite. But these new commercials have to be the worst yet...

Unlocked 16GB Yellow iPhone 5c first to sell out

The iPhone 5c became available for pre-order at 12:00 am PST this morning. Since then, hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people around the globe have placed orders for the new handset with Apple or one of its retail partners.

And for the most part, launch day supplies have held up. Last year, it only took an hour for iPhone 5 shipping times to slip on certain models. But this year, most configurations of the iPhone 5c remain available 10 hours after launch...

FlowDoku makes the game of Sudoku a little less intimidating

I’ve never been very good at Sudoku. Whenever I try, I get all jumbled up around the bottom few grids. For me, it is because the numbers are so daunting. I see a bunch of numbers and all I can think of is math.

FlowDoku lets you have the experience of solving Sudoku-type puzzles without the intimidation of looking at series of seemingly unconnected numbers. Instead, you solve the puzzles with shapes…

iPhone 5s online orders to start at 12.01am PST on September 20

The iPhone 5c might already be available for pre-order, but for some reason, Apple will not let you pre-order the flagship iPhone 5s. We speculated why, but we'll probably never know for sure the reasoning behind this decision.

If it's been clear since this week's event that the iPhone 5s would be available in store on the 20th, the exact time hadn't been made official until today, when Apple sent an email to customers saying the iPhone would be available for order online at 12.01am PST (3am EST)...

Facebook testing silent, auto-playing videos in mobile News Feed

Facebook announced yesterday afternoon that it has started testing an easier way to watch videos on its website. The new feature will be rolling out as a limited test in the coming weeks through its mobile apps, and continue to roll out over time.

Once the new feature hits you, you'll notice that when you see a video popup in News Feed it'll start playing automatically. It'll be silent at first, and you can choose to turn on the sound, watch it in full screen or scroll past it. It sounds a lot like Vine...

iPhone 5c now available for pre-order

Ok folks, the time has arrived. Those in one of the 9 initial launch countries can now pre-order an iPhone 5c. Just as promised, the Cupertino company began accepting advanced orders for its new, brightly colored handset just after midnight this morning.

It appears that some users are still seeing Apple's 'We'll be back' poster on Apple.com, but the Apple Store app is up and running. Remember that carriers are also accepting pre-orders, so it's worth checking out their websites if you have trouble getting in...

How to change the iPhone’s status bar color using RGB sliders

Jailbreaking is all about customizing your iPhone in a way that you see fit; from the biggest detail all the way down to the smallest detail. With that in mind, Status Color is a recently released tweak that's worth a look.

Status Color is a tweak that allows you to adjust the color of your status bar in real time using simple RGB sliders. The tweak, which is available for free on Cydia's BigBoss repo, allows you to easily match the color of the status bar with wallpaper or other Home screen elements. Check out our video walkthrough inside to see what I mean.

Why isn’t Apple allowing pre-orders for the iPhone 5s?

In just about 4 hours, retailers around the globe will begin taking online pre-orders for the new iPhone 5c. And from then until Monday afternoon, tech watchers will be holding vigilant for any kind of word from Apple confirming the handset's success.

At least the company will have a clear picture of its performance this weekend, because as most of you know, it's decided not to make its flagship iPhone 5s available for pre-order. Folks will have to wait until next week to purchase the device online or in-store.

Of course, Apple hasn't offered any reason for why it's decided to go this route. But as you can imagine, there are a number of theories floating around the web. And on the eve of the 5c pre-order launch, we thought it'd be fun to take a look at some of them...

Luxury brand Burberry will use iPhone 5s to capture fashion show

Fashion retailer Burberry (not to be mistaken for BlackBerry) just announced that it will be using Apple's new iPhone 5s to capture images and photographs at the upcoming high-profile fashion show scheduled to run in London next week. Not only will Burberry be using the improved iSight camera on the iPhone 5s to shoot stills and video, they'll be also taking high-quality shots to document runway and beauty looks, product details and backstage moments. And I bet they've opted for gold devices...
