If you're jailbroken, and have a little patience, you can get WhatsApp's new in-beta voice calling feature on your iPhone right now. To do so, you'll need to download the WhatsApp beta, download a package from Cydia, and following a couple of additional steps.
After following this tutorial, you will be able to access voice calling in WhatsApp. I can personally verify that this technique works, and was able to shoot a video walkthrough showing you the steps along with a live phone call.

A few days ago, we posted about Meerkat, a new live video streaming service that is currently enjoying a significant buzz amongst the tech industry. The primary reason for Meerkat's success has to do with how easy it is to get up and running. You can literally go from installing the app to live steaming in mere seconds. Meerkat has Twitter to thank for much of this, because the app basically piggybacks on Twitter's already existing account and social graph infrastructure.
That said, it was largely assumed that Meerkat's free reign access to Twitter's social graph would be short-lived, and this proved to be true. As noted on Buzzfeed, Twitter has cut off Meerkat's access to automatically port over twitter connections—those who you follow and those who follow you on Twitter.
The Twitter social graph was key in helping Meerkat generate the buzz that it's garnered over the last week and a half. Prior to this evening, when users signed in to Meerkat with their Twitter credentials, all of the connections that existed on Twitter were ported in to Meerkat. This made it extremely easy to establish existing connections, receive notifications when fellow twitter followers joined and began streaming, and essentially provided a zero-friction environment.
After this evening, this is no longer the case. Yes, this is bad news for Meerkat, as it significantly narrows its spout for growth, but it won't necessarily spell the death of the service.

I hope that I can accurately portray just how awesome HiddenConvos is without the assistance of video, because it's really that good.
HiddenConvos is a tweak that allows you to quickly hide conversations in the Messages app using a simple left-swipe gesture. Once you left-swipe on a conversation, tap the Hide button to hide the conversation from view and suppress its notifications.
One of my favorite apps on iOS, and my early pick for iOS app of the year, Workflow, has received a fairly significant update. Not only does it usher in a ton of different bug fixes, but there are some meaty content additions as well.
Included in Workflow version 1.1.2 is a new action to translate text between different languages, a new call via Skype action, and support for a new grid mode when combining images. Needless to say, if you're a Workflow user, you should head over to the App Store and grab the free update.
It appears Apple plans to fix a long-standing keyboard issue which caused users to inadvertently tap the period key when aiming for the space bar in Safari. As noted by MacRumors, beta versions of iOS 8.3 feature a design change that should resolve the problem.
In 8.3, Apple has made the space bar longer on the keyboard that pops up when inputting text in Safari's omnibar, and the 'Go' button shorter. This should make it less likely for users to encounter accidental period key presses when typing out their web searches.

Apple is running its rumored electric car project, code-named “Titan,” through a shell company called SixtyEight Research from a small top-secret office building in Sunnyvale, California, just minutes away from the company's 1 Infinite Loop headquarters in Cupertino, according to intriguing findings published Friday by AppleInsider.
Citing two people with knowledge of the project, the publication claims the Titan building, itself code-named “SG5,” is home to recruits from Tesla and Apple's other automotive related hires. One person claims that some of the projects underway there have been kept “very secret” within the company.
Online retail giant Amazon is working on an official Apple Watch app that will permit its users to purchase goods on Amazon.com right from their wrist, TechCrunch reported Friday.
“The company does have an Apple Watch version of its mobile shopping app in the works, we understand,” reads the report.
Today, developer Hamza Sood, known in the community for his in-depth analysis of iOS betas, tweeted screenshots of what the Apple Watch companion app for iPhone will look like when an Apple Watch is connected. The layout is similar to iOS's Settings app, but features a dark theme and rounded icons.

Last evening, developer Hamza Sood tweeted out a series of screenshots of the Activity app from iOS 8.2, released for public consumption on Monday.
The app is hidden and would only appear on a user's Home screen once an Apple Watch has been connected and paired with an iPhone using the Apple Watch iOS app (which by the way cannot be deleted from the device).
Microsoft has been hard at work developing an iOS and Android version of its Siri-like personal assistant, Cortana, which could hit the iPhone and iPad as a standalone application sometime in the fall 2014 timeframe, Reuters reported Friday.
The software giant currently provides Cortana on Windows phones and is set to launch it on desktop with the arrival of Windows 10 this fall.
Windows 10 integrates Cortana so users can perform queries and get various answers just by asking.
