Researcher publishes kernel exploit for 64-bit devices on iOS 10.3.1 and below

You may recall hearing of the slew of kernel bugs that were patched in iOS 10.3.2, all of which were reported by Adam Donenfeld, an iOS and Android security researcher. At the time, he stated that an exploit using the bugs was already written and would be released at the HITBGSEC conference in the summer.

The best USB-C monitors for MacBook and MacBook Pro

This is an easy-to-follow guide aimed at folks who are in the market for an external display for their MacBook or MacBook Pro. These laptops feature USB-C ports exclusively, so if you want to hook them up to a display without the need for dongles, you'll need to find one that supports the tech.

Everything you need to know about tihmstar’s iOS 9.1-9.3.4 jailbreak untether

First things first: do not rush off and install this untether on your devices. It could easily boot loop them. This isn't a general warning to be ignored; the tool does not support most devices yet, and I will not be held responsible for any damage done by it.

Having said that, let's have a gander at this new release, the first jailbreak untether that we've seen in quite some time.

This tweak lets you customize your iPhone’s locking animation

One of the things that always keeps jailbreaking interesting, at least for me, is being able to modify the stock system animations with something more exciting. Tweaks of this nature have been harder to come by as of late, but that doesn't mean development has ceased entirely.

A new jailbreak tweak dubbed Vespera (iOS 10) by iOS developer muris keeps this part of the jailbreak experience alive by letting you customize your iPhone or iPad's locking animation.

ScreenshotXI brings iOS 11-like screenshot functions to jailbroken devices

If you've forgotten about all the new features that come bundled with the iOS 11 update launching this Fall, then let this serve as a small reminder that it includes significant upgrades to screenshot handling on your iPhone or iPad. Waiting another month isn’t a big deal for stock device users, but upgrading isn't an accessible option for jailbreakers.

If you’re jailbroken and want the same supercharged screenshot features that come with iOS 11 without upgrading this Fall, you can use a new jailbreak tweak dubbed ScreenshotXI by iOS developer DGh0st to get them right away.
