iOS 11 is Apple’s latest mobile operating system, but just like every Fall when a significant firmware update comes out, not all devices exhibit the best battery life after updating.
In this piece, we’ll discuss with you a plethora of ways to optimize your iPhone or iPad's battery life so that you spend less time tethered to the power outlet.
Sudoku has been a favorite puzzle pastime for many people for a long time. There is no shortage of Sudoku apps on the App Store, but many of them feature clunky designs that are not very aesthetically pleasing.
We're less than a month away from the iPhone X launch and already some people have gotten their hands on the device, posting photographic and video evidence on social media.
The Wallpapers of the Week section is full of different types of images and we try to post them in specific categories or themes. However, sometimes, I end up with a bunch of random wallpapers from reader submissions that are amazing, but do not fit nicely into a specific category. Today, I wanted to throw out a little smorgasbord of downloads for your viewing pleasure. You will find a mismatched collection of images, where the only similarity is their beautiful abstract shape and colors.
Long-running speculation that Apple deliberately slows down older iPhones in software in order to supposedly push people into purchasing its latest models has been officially debunked and put to rest by Finnish computer benchmark developers Futuremark.
It's Sunday again, and that means we'll be coming at you with another jailbreak tweak roundup. In this piece, we'll show you all of the tweaks released in Cydia throughout the last week.
As usual, we'll start off by going in-depth with our favorites, and we'll outline the rest of the tweaks afterward.
This week's edition of our Apps of the Week roundup features a new text editor for iOS that blends notes and tasks together, the ultimate packing helper, and an app for tracking your subscriptions. And as always, we've selected two great new games for you to check out.
NotionNotion is a new text editor for iOS that blends notes, tasks, and wikis in one app—the perfect companion to its desktop counterpart, which was nominated for app of the year. Make todo lists and jot notes with rich media like images, checklists, bookmarks, code snippets and more than 20+ block types. Sync with Mac, Windows and your browser, work offline, collaborate in real time, organize with folders, and much more. Notion is available for free.
The Packing ListThe Packing List is an easy to use app that provides you with a checklist of all the important things to consider and pack before traveling. We covered a similar app a few months ago, but I think the UI is better here, and it has great features like iCloud sync for sharing with multiple devices and custom categories. This is one of those apps that you probably won't need, until you do, so it's worth checking out if you plan on traveling anytime in the near future. The Packing List is available for free (with a single IAP).
BobbyBobby is an app that aims to make it easier to manage and track your subscriptions, know when bills are due and get insight into your fixed, recurring costs. Adding a subscription is easy: choose from hundreds of existing services, or create your own custom subscription. Enter all of the applicable details and the app will give you a clear overview of all of your subscriptions and upcoming bills. There are obviously similar other apps that offer similar features—some even more automated, like Trim—but again I feel like Bobby's new 2.0 UI sets it apart from the competition. Bobby is available for free (with 2 IAPs).
Kick Ass CommandosThe enemy has grown bold in spreading their highly-addictive drugs across the globe, which is turning everyone into mindless, zombie-like hordes. If the enemy is not stopped soon and all the drugs destroyed, the world as you know it will be no more. You have been chosen to lead the ultimate mission across the world to rescue your comrades, wipe out all of the enemy's malicious productions, and eradicate all of the bad guys you encounter. It has beautifully-nostalgic graphics and addictive gameplay. Kick Ass Commands is available for $2.99.

iOS 11 brings with it a whole host of changes, and one of the most notable right off the bat is the updated look and feel for Notification Center. Unfortunately for jailbreakers, upgrading is out of the question.
If you fall into that category, then new free jailbreak tweak dubbed NotificationCenterXI (iOS 10) by iOS developer LaughingQuoll might interest you. It ports the iOS 11 Notification Center experience to jailbroken devices, allowing jailbreakers to have their cake and eat it too.
