DockPhone is a new app that lets you dial and call any number directly from your Mac. Based on FaceTime's capabilities, and taking advantage of the new Continuity feature found on OS X Yosemite, DockPhone lets you make calls via your iPhone cellular connection right from the Mac, effectively adding a simple feature that users would have expected Apple to ship with Yosemite in the first place.

Ho ho ho! We're just days away from Christmas now, and it looks like Santa Claus already stopped by and dropped a bunch of gifts in the form of tweaks. Alright, I'll admit this is a terrible intro but I needed to tie it in with Christmas somehow.
This past week was again quite a fruitful one in terms of jailbreak tweak releases as we count no less than 28 new tweaks. That's at least what I have found out, but as I said before, this list is by no means a comprehensive one, as I'm sure a few tweaks here and there might have gone unnoticed. If that's the case, make sure to share what tweak I forgot in the comment section.
This week on iDB: a gift for everyone

iDB holiday gift guide 2014: Sébastien’s picks
My least favorite thing about Christmas is finding gifts for others. I'm usually completely uncreative when it comes to gift ideas, which is why those gift guides are helpful to me. During the last few days, my colleagues at iDB have shared their gift ideas, and today is my turn. Of course, this is really tech oriented, because you know, we're tech heads. There is something for every budget, from big spenders to affordable stocking stuffers, I hope you'll find something to your liking here.
Nest Notification Center widget Thermos gets a warm update
A couple weeks ago, I told you about Thermos, a widget for Notification Center on Mac that lets you adjust the temperature of your Nest thermostat. At the time, I was quite impressed with the widget, despite the fact that I felt it was a bit limited and contained a minor bug. This is now a thing of the past as Thermos was just updated with new features, and a fix for the pesky bug.
Glimpse lets you check your favorite webpages from Notification Center
Glimpse is a new app that lets you pin one or more favorite webpages to the Today tab of Notification Center, allowing to have a quick glance at your most visited websites, without having to launch Safari. The Notification Center extension is particularly handy to check news-focused websites where information is often time sensitive, and where a quick look is usually enough to get an idea of what is going on, without necessarily unlocking the device and opening up the full web browser.
Cydia alternative iMods get demoed on video
In the six years that I've been part of the jailbreak community, I can count on the fingers of one hand how many so-called "Cydia alternatives" have come to fruition. The result is pretty simple. Zero. None. Well, there was RockYourPhone at one time, which was later purchased by saurikIT, but besides that, none of the several attempts ever made their way to the public. Who knows, maybe iMods will be the first.
App Santa is back with big discounts on great apps
Whether you've been naughty or nice this year, App Santa will still bring you great deals on award winning apps by independent developers. Available now through December 26th, App Santa is offering up to 60% on many must-have applications for both iOS and Mac. It's like Christmas before Christmas. Enjoy!
T-Mobile unveils Data Stash, your unused data now automatically rolls over
In its latest Un-carrier move, T-Mobile unveiled today Data Stash, a program in which all unused data automatically rolls over to the next month, for up to a year. The unused data, which is then put in the virtual Data Stash, can be used anytime during that year. To top it all off, the company is also stocking each Data Stash with 10 GB of free data.
22 new and updated tweaks that will keep you busy this weekend
I'm not sure about you but this week wasn't as exciting to me in terms of jailbreak tweak releases as it was the last few weeks. But maybe it's just me, because looking at the numbers, there are no less than 18 new tweaks, some of them more "full-featured" than others.
Maybe the most interesting thing about this week was the preview we got of CarPlay Activator, an upcoming jailbreak tweak that brings CarPlay directly to your iPhone screen.
But I'm digressing. This column is mostly about new and updated tweaks, and we have 22 of them in this post today.

This tweak will make sure you never accidentally set an alarm for the evening
Born and raised in France where we use 24-hour clocks, the AM/PM time is something I had to adapt to when I moved to the States. It's not complicated to figure out, but it's easy to accidentally take one for the other. A new tweak called PM, really? wants to make sure you never accidentally set an alarm for the evening (PM), when clearly you wanted to be waken up in the morning (AM).
