The Room Two is finally available in the App Store

In 2012, Fireproof Games made a puzzle game that wowed iPad users. The Room’s interactive Pandora’s Box style artwork and multi-level intricate puzzles were impressive, to say the least. Apple awarded it the Game of the Year in 2012. Fireproof Games promised more to the story.

Today, the game company came through with its promise and The Room Two is now available for the iPad in the App Store. It is just as impressive as its predecessor…

The 10 best health and fitness apps of 2013

I’m not one of those calorie counting fitness fanatics. I just really hate buying clothes and don’t want to have to purchase larger sized pants. In order to stay the same size and squeeze into my two-year-old jeans, I try to keep my eating habits and exercise routine as regular as possible.

However, from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, I go off the wagon in a big way. Whether I’m guzzling eggnog by the gallon or munching on Christmas cookies, there is nothing stopping me from over-indulging for the holiday season.

If you are like me, you are probably going to need to invest in some quality fitness apps to shed the extra pounds in the New Year. The writers of iDownloadBlog have created a list of the 10 best health and fitness apps of 2013. Check them out and let us know which is your favorite for our Best Apps of 2013 list…

Osfoora 2 is now available in the App Store with a complete redesign

Twitter just updated its official app to include photo sharing in direct messages and swiping features to switch between timelines. Unfortunately, the official app still doesn’t live up to the wants and needs of many Twitter users.

Osfoora 2 is a third party Twitter client that offers automatic timeline updates, bookmarking capabilities, notifications, and more. Plus, the feature rich Twitter client received an update that compliments Apple’s iOS 7 look…

Beat – Music player is a great looking gesture-based app

Apple’s recently updated music player still doesn’t impress some people. It looks cleaner and has a simpler user interface, but it doesn’t have that “Wow factor.”

Beat – Music player is a third party music listening app that makes your iTunes library look great. Plus, the customizable gesture based controls make full use of the touch screen technology. Hop inside for a quick look at it...

Darklings review: possess your enemies by drawing symbols

If you find yourself attracted to visually stunning games, you are in luck. More and more unusual, atmospheric games are being added to the App Store on a regular basis.

Darklings is an atmospheric game that puts you in the world of Lum as he tries to save the light. Travel through forests and caves, battling Darklings and trying to bring light back to the world…

Starborn Anarkist proves that recycling really pays off

This article isn’t about how important I think it is that consumers reduce their excessive use of plastic, paper, and glass. I’m not going to get on my soapbox and tell you that you should be composting your leftovers. I am talking about recycling, but not in the way you may think.

Starborn Anarkist is a dual stick shooter that features an intergalactic garbage collector who has finally flipped his lid. Players go on a laser-guided rampage, destroying every ship in sight. Then, use the debris from your destruction to upgrade your ship and show those waste-makers how to take out the trash (these puns are just getting out of hand)...

Where do video game characters go when they die? Find out in this game

There is that moment, just before your game ends, when the world stops for a fraction of a second and you realize that all of your hard work and sore thumbs are about to be lost forever.

continue?9876543210 is a cerebral adventure game that explores the idea of what happens to your character after it dies. In this game, hitting the “continue” button doesn’t take you back to the point where you left off. Instead, you are wandering through limbo, trying to find a way back to life…

Tank Domination rumbles through the App Store

When I was a little kid, I “played tanks.” That is, I drew a picture of a tank on one side of a blank piece of paper, and then drew another tank on the other side. Then, I’d “pew, pew, pew” as I drew dotted lies across the page, finishing with a nice, scribbly “ka-ploosh” as my Crayola-based ammunitions struck the armored vehicles.

Tank Domination is sort of like playing tanks. Except the paper is an iPad, the Crayola drawings are high-definition graphics, and the “pew, pew, pew” is awesome explosions that look so real it will melt your face off…

Apps of the week: Double Dragon Trilogy, Space Hulk, and more…

Around this time of the year, I tend to hide out in my nice warm house. Even if a cool band is playing right up the street from me, there has to be something more to convince me that suffering through the cold is worth it. I know I live in California and really don’t know the meaning of the word “cold.” But, I always argue that the reason I can’t stand the cold is because I live in California.

This weekend, I’ll be staying inside where I can play games on my iPad, watch cheesy holiday movies, and drink eggnog until I’m sick. If you are looking for apps and games to keep you inside this weekend, we’ve got a list of some of our favorites this week…

Diptic Video review: make video collages with just a few taps

I may have already mentioned this in the past, but I do take a lot of pictures with my iPhone. I also like taking video clips, especially of bands. I like to document my life as much as possible. Maybe I’m worried that I’ll forget it all someday.

Diptic Video is the follow-up release from Peak Systems, the creator of Diptic. With it, you can create photo and video collages with multiple clips that you can add a soundtrack to and share on your favorite social networking sites…
