Review: SanDisk iXpand Base is an effortless way to backup your phone

Does anyone else remember back when you would get a new cell phone and you basically lost all your contacts and pictures? I don't think anyone misses that experience. While iCloud is a great option for backing up your device, it has its limitations, and it isn't for everyone. The SanDisk iXpand Base is an offline, and effortless way to backup your photos, videos, contacts to prevent you from ever ending up like 1999 again.

Review: August Pro HomeKit smart lock

Popular smart lock maker August now has a product for everyone. There is the affordable August Smart Lock, the 2nd generation August Smart Lock with HomeKit, and then the "kitchen sink" model called the August Smart Lock Pro, which I've spent some time reviewing.

Nintendo announces Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for iOS & Android

Nintendo has announced an upcoming title to its slate of mobile games; Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The game is scheduled to launch on both iOS and Android, in late November. Instead of being set in a large location like a big city, you are situated in a camp ground.

Luna Display is a lag-free way to use your iPad as a second monitor

There are a few popular apps on the App Store that allow you to connect your iPad to your Mac as a secondary display. Ideal for expanding your workspace, especially when using the 12.9" iPad Pro. Duet and Air Display are both great options, but they have quite a few limitations. Luna Display, from the makers of AstroPad, aims to be the end-all solution for a lag-free, HiDPI experience.

To see it for yourself, check out our hands on video with a prototype of the Luna Display.

Hands on with Twelve South’s Inspire [mac candle N°2] – video

Last year, popular accessory maker Twelve South released their infamous "new Mac" scented candle. It was a hotly gifted item and stirred up quite a bit of controversy on whether or not it did smell like a new Mac. This year, the candle is back in the form of Inspire [mac candle N°2]. This is an entirely new scent, and no longer tied to a new Apple product.

Nanoleaf Aurora is my favorite HomeKit lighting solution

I've tested many HomeKit lighting solutions, though nothing quite like the Nanoleaf Aurora. It is a collection of triangular LED panels that you can arrange into any shape you can think of, only limited by the number of panels.

The limitless animations and color combinations makes this one of the most fun and attention-getting pieces of decor you can add to your home. Check out our hands-on video to see the different animations and color schemes for yourself. Then read on for our in-depth review.
