Best Buy stops selling iPhone at full price after public outcry over overpricing

Following the public backlash after people realized the iPhone X cost $100 more outright than it did directly from Apple, Best Buy has decided to no longer offer the option to purchase an iPhone outright. Instead, purchasers must buy the phone from any of the carriers plans. This won't affect the large majority of people, as Best Buy says that few people went for the full price option anyway.

Alongside the first developer beta iOS 11.2, Apple also released the first beta of tvOS 11.2. The biggest change here includes support for automatically switching the output of the video based on the content. Developers also can take advantage of this with the introduction of AVDisplayManager.

Apple dismisses engineer who let his daughter vlog about iPhone X

Last week, we got one of our first looks of an iPhone X, courtesy of Brooke Amelia Peterson, who happens to be the daughter of an Apple employee. He worked as a radio frequency engineer on the iPhone X, and while Brooke was visiting last month, he gave her an early look at the device. She filmed it, and last week, shared that video on her YouTube channel.
